The size, speed, modest quality of pictures did a fine job for a few days, but now, the charger stopped working. So now I am very frustrated; hence the 3 stars for now.

Absolutely, it is a great tool for basic computing needs. I certainly understand the frustrations and inconvenience if you started experiencing issue charging the battery. Please try unplug or disconnect the AC adapter for at least an hour to allow the unit tol clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings.After doing this, charge it completely without powering on the Chromebook. Once fully charged, use the unit without the AC adapter connected until it completely drained. Once drained, reconnect the AC adapter after it was fully-drained then charge it fully without the system being used or power on. Please repeat this process a couple of times.
