very limited internal memory 32 gb

Windows update cannot be done despite connecting external 64 gb USB. So windows 10 keeps crashing and data on which i am working is lost. This happens once every 1 hour.

I could only add one app after that the system would not let me add anything else. Cheap is not the way to go on computers, lesson learned.

Can’t Download Many Apps!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So this laptop has Windows Home Edition & has one major flaw... you are not allowed to download applications that are not sold by Microsoft. Something as simple as installing a Google Chrome Web Browser is not allowed as Microsoft doesn’t sell it. That is total you know what! What a waste of money. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son... needless to say we’re both entirely disappointed with this product & since I bought it before the holidays... it’s no longer eligible for a return. Totally stinks!

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We apologize for the issues you're experiencing with this product. The inability to install third party applications may be due to a setting you have turned on as such I recommend executing the following steps:
1. Log into Windows as administrator
2. Click Start and choose Settings.
3. Click on Update & Security.
4. Go to the last option on the left "For developers" and check the settings there. You may have Windows Store apps selected.
5. Change it to Sideload apps

Thank you for writing a comment for the product. I do understand your disappointment if the system will not power on or boot up or it black screen after a week of usage. Usually, you will do the following to resolve the issue. Try to do a power cycle a couple of times. Shut it down completely, wait for at least 10 seconds then power on. Please wait, if the system is applying updates in the System Registry, it will black screen temporarily. If it still black screen after a few minutes, at least 10 minutes, please repeat the power cycle process again. Please verify if the AC adapter was properly connected from the laptop to a working surge protector or AC outlet and the power button is being pressed all the way down to trigger a power on signal. Also, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter then power on the unit. If you need further assistance, please email me at [email protected] and I will be more than happy to help.

I made a recovery usb of Windows 10s, (which I doubt I'll ever use). I purchased a 128 GB micro SD card for $20, (on sale), which I inserted in the new laptop. I installed Linux Mint Mate using the partition tool and now have a capacity of 32 GB plus 128 GB system storage. Even though the laptop only has 2 GB ram, it runs very fast and smooth because of the Linux Mint OS. I'm so very impressed at the performance of this super compact and lightweight machine. So easy to carry along wherever. It would have been so limited using the Windows OS, but now I've got plenty of storage to install all the apps/software that I want to use; Teamviewer, NoMachine, Chrome, DejaDup, games, etc. I've had several tabs open in Firefox and have not hit the limit of the ram, yet. This laptop is even better than I had hoped. It has well over 10 hours of battery life. (Tip: If you choose to install a Linux distro... steps... While still in Windows, find and disable fast startup. In UEFI/BIOS, find and disable fast boot and secure boot. Also, I found YouTube videos that guided me through the partitioning needed to add the 128 GB SD card to the system. It was simpler than I had imagined. Just be careful and don't check the 'format' box if you have data already on the drive that you wish to keep. My SD card was blank, so I checked the format box.) It's a learning curve if you've never installed Linux Mint or another Linux Distro before, but it sure has been worth it for me. I've installed it for many of my family and friends, who all are very happy with it. Maybe you can find someone who can install Linux for you.

That is the reason why I asked the person ringing the purchased to removed the Microsoft offer. She could not do it; i requested a manger/supervisor who was able to removed the Microsoft offer..... A year later, my BB credit card was charged for automatic renewa, which i am still finding to get removed.
