I had my doubts at first buying a less expensive chromebook as my recent testing with the new less expensive tablets available have been major letdowns and I felt as if these laptops would be just as slow and hard to use. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. For only paying $170 I would say this laptop surpasses expectations. Obviously don't expect this to be some professional gaming set up, but so far light use has been splendid. Started up immediately out of the box and in less than five minutes I had everything set up and ready to use. Very lightweight and much quicker than expected. I remember when laptops double in weight would cost triple in price for the same quality. Battery life is great and the laptop is so quiet. I'v done some multitasking running multiple programs and it doesn't seem to get hot or slow down at all. My last laptop cost almost $1000 (macbook pro) and would constantly get hot. I wish my textbooks weighed this much! Overall happy with my purchase

This is my first Cromebook so I was not sure what I was getting but was very happily surprised! This is replacing my slow PC which I have had for 4 years and takes forever to boot up. I did not need all the PC 'advantages' anymore and this ASUS Chromebook fits my needs. Light, fast and great battery life, I made a great choice!

I already have a 17in Dell Vostro Laptop that has all of my programs on it ( Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite etc) . Its too big to lug around on trips, conferences and even starbucks. I needed something small and efficient for just surfing on the net and getting to my google drive for my writing projects. I didnt fee like spening nearly a grand on a Mac Book Air just yet so I opted for the Asus Chromebook. Best decision ever. It starts up fast, battery life is good, lightweight and fits in my purse. I use this laptop as my netbook and my dell laptop as my desktop computer that doesnt leave the house.

I will start the review by saying we have an Acer C720P Chromebook in the household as well, but this Asus C300 Chromebook blows it out of the water. The larger screen size turns this laptop into a much more convenient platform to type on, and the larger size contributes to a feeling that the computer is thinner than it really is, and thinner than the Acer. The case is plastic, as is expected in this price range, but it is grained very nicely to appear like brushed metal. I've received compliments on this computer and people have been amazed I got it for only $229. Build quality is good, and the computer is easy to use. I think I will be getting some more as Christmas gifts for some family members who have struggled with Windows 8 and 8.1 PCs.

I didn't buy this from Best Buy, but I am an Elite customer. I love this machine. My kids do, too. It has quickly become the "go to" computer in the house over my Lenovo Thinkpad. Money well spent.

Great for getting on line real quick, streaming is excellent. Use it mostly with my chrome cast and for streaming NHL .com broadcast of hockey games. For the price very much worth it.

Bought this for my step-dad to replace his Windows 8.1 machine. It's ultra light. Has no cooling fan because it runs that cool. Boots faster than my quad core Windows 7 laptop, and malware is a thing of the past. Perfect tool for web surfing and social media. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be a way to disable the touch pad when a mouse is connected. Accidentally tapping the touch pad while typing occasionally shoots the user off to different parts of the web. I'd buy one for myself if it were a two in one with a touch screen. I'm currently waiting to see what rolls out for Windows 10 two in one machines in 2015.

This Asus 13'3" Chromebook is perfect for daily needs! I'm a college student and I needed a laptop that's light, within my budget, and useful for school. This product is all of that and more! All the Google/chrome features are already there, including all apps and Google docs/PowerPoint/etc. I love it because the price is so great for the amazing high quality work performance it does. Now I can easily bring it to school (its super light) do all my work on there. I would really recommend! Not a gaming laptop, of course, but it works for just about anything.

This laptop started off as the perfect thing for school! Then, after a little under a year of having it, Google came up with an update and my chromebook wouldn't take it. So I had to ship it to their manufacture center. After receiving it back, the laptop would only turn on if it was plugged in and it would randomly shut off and rebute. Now it won't turn on at all and I have only had it for a year. Being a college student, this is a great deal of pain and it inconvenienced my homework abilities.

I am happy with this and all It's included features. Great item.

Cant ever go wrong with an asus product but it now

If you just need the internet to work smoothly... not download programs this is great... no viruses or worries about shut downs

I bought the Chromebook to write research papers. My printer will not work in any way and yes I tried google cloud print. I have to email what I want printed to my personal email then go print elsewhere. Chromebook OS needs work.
