Excellent Value Though Limited

Some were just the motherboards that I used to build DIY powerful computers. Others, full laptops and I was never disappointed. As for this one, my opinion is that it is a great buy for non-college students and for those who want a very basic laptop for browsing the internet and for simple basic applications. The amount of storage is tiny and I highly recommend the use of cloud storage or you should consider adding an external 400GB or larger SSD. Otherwise, it will be impossible to install or save much locally. If you are considering running games that aren't very basic, stay away from it. On the upside, it is lightweight, extremely portable, and even includes a touchscreen display in addition to being convertible. It also has USB-C, USB-A 3.2, HDMI ports. For a budget friendly laptop, it offers more than I expected although I must admit that my expectations were very low. Do I recommend it? To be honest, only for students who don't need to run CPU intensive applications, or for those who already have a main computer/laptop and want something that allows them to browse the internet, especially for non-business travels due to its lightweight. To rate four stars, I considered the cost which makes it a good value.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The display and battery life are excellent; however, the speed is slow, I frequently turn on the numeric touchpad by accident when I use the touchpad, and I frequently enlarge the text by accident when I use the touchpad. Overall, it's a low-end laptop at a cheap price.

A fine laptop for the price

Took a little bit of fiddling around with the settings to achieve slightly better operational capacity - the initial settings had enough background programs running to max the CPU, bringing the PC to a crawl - but it runs well enough now to do the simple net browsing, picture loading and website editing my wife needs it to do.

The 10 key is actually more of a pain rather than a bonus. It will come on if I accidently hit the pad area, then the calculator pops up. The speed isn't great at all. My Chrome book that was 4 years old worked faster and more efficiently than this. I will keep using it as I paid for it, but I will never by this model again.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This chromebook is easy to set up and start using right away, but I would not have bought a chromebook for my kiddo if I knew it wouldn't print to the office printer that I have. He is autistic and I never knew until it was too late to return. The BB employee should have been more forthcoming with this information when I asked if a Chromebook would work for my situation; at the least should have said, "make sure you have a compatible printer." Know before you go so you can have everything you need.

It lags, runs like molasses, barely any memory left over to install any new programs... Great computer if you want to click on something and then go run some chores and come back to what you clicked on finally work! A chromebook with the same specs is light years ahead of this thing. I got this because I needed it for programming classes and there wasn't enough memory to install the IDEs for C++ and Java.

On the contrary, lots of satisfied customers, having positive experience using the product will agree that it is a decent entry-level laptop. It does run basic or light computing applications, without compromising system stability and performance if Windows is always up to date. Additionally, closing unused open browser tabs and clearing cache, or browsing histories, will improve laptop speed. Furthermore, it should have access to a working internet connection since poor and unstable internet service will definitely affect system stability and performance while running web applications.
