Purchased a few of these around $200-230 as open box. I have reduced one star because ASUS limits warranty for open box items to 90 days and best buy does not make it clear during purchase.

Feels really sturdy when closed, and hinges feel strong. It's a little harder than desired to open the Chromebook from the closed position. Overall, happy with the purchase.

BUY IT! It's a premium chromebook.

At $180 it's a great daily driver. backlighted keyboard is a must for me. You'll want to put an old credit card or the like inside it when you close the lid because they made the magnet too powerful. Now (nov) is the perfect time to buy it because you have until jan 14th to return it, so you can give it one heck of a test drive. 8 gigs makes a big difference these days. Don't get a 4 gig.
