Overall good computer but didn't work perfect for our use.

Processing speed a little slow even if you only have a webpage and google docs, PDFs open. Monitor size small and hard on eyes. The track pad is difficult to maneuver (stiff feeling) and less responsive

I've had product a little over a month and the computer doesn't even work keep getting a screen with lines and then it shuts down. Have to send to manufacturer for repairs, I won't buy anything from Best Buy again their return policy stinks.

Never buy this computer it has a fickle sensor and it's touch screen / keyboard only works half the time

Purchased June 2017. Now is Jan 2020 and notification was received from Google that they are ending all updates/ support July 2020. Nothing from Bestbuy or Google or Asus about this degenerate policy. Not only is the policy bad but all three companies are very dishonest in not openly and clearly informing and indicating prior to purchase.

This Chromebook is tremendous for its value and size. I have owned it now for 7 to 8 months, using it moderately as a college student, and it has traveled with me thousands of miles across the planet. The battery life is relatively long for its size; better than my Dell. I bought this to take with me overseas so I didn't have to lug around my heavy Dell Inspiron. I don't use it as a tablet much. but it's been handy. The camera is decent. I'd go as far to say that the hardware is comparable to Mac's; I never buy Mac's because I dislike the software, but their hardware is great. The keys are good, touch-screen works well, and the touch-pad works very well too. The two USB ports, mini HDMI, and micro SD card slot all work well with the device. I adore the Aluminum finish of the Chromebook; it looks sharp and maintains a "clean" appearance. The software on this is google chrome, naturally; it is simple and works exceptionally well - I mean that it only can perform as much as google chrome as on other computers. The only problems I will point out is that the RAM is low, and gets "full" occasionally which really slows things down. A fix to that is to simply restart the device. Another thing is that there is a lock button right above the backspace button. Although rarely, I have pressed it and locked my screen in the midst of typing. If you're looking for an inexpensive laptop but want a better quality, this is the one too get. It may be a bit more expensive than some others, and smaller, but that extra price goes a long way. All in all, great buy.

difficult to use print function, overall ok for price

I am very happy with this purchase. When my current devices began running slowly, I was torn between a new tablet or new laptop and decided to give the 2 in 1 Chromebook a try due to its great price and capabilities. I love that I can use the touchscreen and built-in keyboard at the same time. I use this 2 in 1 mainly for internet browsing and Google Drive applications and have been very happy thus far!

This little thing is a bad little thing and I mean bad as in really spectacular. My boss sent me to Best Buy to find the Acer Chromebook model but unfortunately they were out as I was checking out the displayed models available I noticed a few brown boxes (the opened box models) a shelf below and inside was the best little computer I’ve ever turned on. You know how they say when you don’t get what you want it’s cause there’s something better intended for you? Well this was it for me!! It does everything I want it’s super fast and it was within my budget ($200). I have a larger screen I hook it up to at work with help of an hdmi adapter because this little guy of course has a mini hdmi port just a heads up, not a big deal it’s just wonderful get one just do it.

Needed something for an online class that wouldn't break the bank. I was unsure about chromebooks but after doing a ton of research on them, I decided to give one a try. I fell in love with the size and build quality of this Asus. Reminds me of Macbook Air. It also had great reviews. Played around with it at the store and decided to purchase. It has been an excellent buy for the money! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a budget laptop that works well.

What is not to be said about this guy. It has a stupid good battery life. Its a full HD which is an up compared to other cheap chromebooks, and weighing in at just over 2 pounds its a feather light option to bring with me to campus when i don't need my bulky workstation.

Quality was great! Love the feel of it and how it was put together. Bought it primarily because of the easy portability it provides. Now here comes the problem.... Not even with 2 hours of use on the first day, the screen had a malfunction a few times. The screen turned into a sand-like color with horizontal lines going across the screen which was resolved by turning off and turning back on. Being brand-new out the box, it should not be doing that especially with just a couple of hours of usage. Maybe just a bad unit out of the bunch... I wish it could have worked out because I love the product. Unfortunately will be returning tomorrow...

To tell you honestly I was not for sure in the begining because as many of you know the simple questions that go a long way, Is this computer what I need?, What does it offer?, Should I just pay a lot more for a apple computer?. For me I say it is great the batterylife says it lasts for 9 hours but for just doing normal google all day i get 13 hours out of it. just got this computer 2 weeks ago and only charged it 5 times, great computer. many people say you get what you pay for but with this computer I get a lot more than what a ipad or apple computer offers, yes this is a lot less than a ipad or apple computer but you get more then what a apple computer gets for an example longer battery life than the new 2016 or 2017 apple computer, apple computer gets 5 hours of battery life and i get a 13 hours, Flip is great for watching movies. or simpily doing homework. Touch screen is great, yes lots of fingerprints but a microfiber cloth ment for phones work great. i am looking to get a screen prtecter for it, but it is great. WHen I read the reviews on this device I went out and bought one...I had to bring it back because right out of the box, it wouldn't charge! Not to sure if it was either the charging block or the charging port on the device. I took it back to the store the same day, and decide to just get another one. After I got the chromebook set up, I then discovered that the on screen keyboard didn't want to display when it was in tablet mode ! I then went out to the web and saw that it was an issue with this particular device, and that it had other on going hardware problems as well! So this one is going back today, and I will just get a refund! It's a pitty because I loved the build, and the looks, as well as the footprint of this device, but to bad they seem to have some issues!

READ LOTS OF REVIEWS AND CONSIDER THEM CAREFULLY. CHECK CONSUMER REPORTS FOR THEIR RATINGS AND EVALUATION OF THE BRAND. My laptop was a lemon from the start, never functioned correctly, mother board had to be replaced (under warranty) after it completely died, but did not fix the other issues. ASUS refused to help at all, even right after the warranty period, despite the fact that the issues were continued from before the warranty expired. CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY. I will NEVER own another ASUS.

Worked great until it was out of warranty then it failed. OS crashed. Best Buy G/S was unable to restore, thanks to them for trying. Returned unit to ASUS for repair based on phone quote of $60.00, received a written quote for $210.00 with no information about what was needed. BAD INVESTMENT. ASUS needs to BACK UP IT PRODUCT

I never give one stars, but I’m horribly disappointed. I’ve had this for 6 months and the space bar, backspace, and enter bar quit working. I contacted Asus and they are going to charge me $300 to fix it! That’s more than the device is worth! As much as I love the idea of it, something that sophisticated should not die after only 6 months. Especially since I did nothing to damage it.

This was a great Chromebook for my son. He loved it!

ABSOLUTE LEMON! DO NOT BUY! Within the first month I began having hardware issues, with the touch screen and display shaking. It was just past the 1 month return mark so I couldn't return in-store. I contacted the manufacturer, mailed it to them, they serviced it, sent it back, and I began having the same issues after a few weeks. Contacted ASUS AGAIN, and again they said send it back, this time requiring ME to pay for postage. At that point I had no confidence they would fix it (seriously they should have fixed it the first time), so I was not going to spend another penny on it. I tried to file a claim with my credit card co., and BB would not honor a refund without me sending the device back to the manufacturer AGAIN! DO NOT BUY!!!

It's unusable. The pointer doesn't hold focus and runs all over the screen opening up windows and you cannot do anything. I'll never trust to buy anything from Best Buy again - back to Dell.
