However, the conteoller does have a couple caveats like any other controller on the market. It can be a little somewhat "off-putting" when it comes to the rear button placement. It could also be a little bright on the rgb lighting (not all at all for me but there will always be someone to find an issue with any aspect of any product to be fair). There could also be an issue with calibration on any one particular controller, though thank GOODNESS!! Mine has proven to work flawlessly so far. In all honesty, yes! It is quite pricey and a bit impractical, but if you want a premium-esque feel without dropping 300 plus from a custom shop and dig the added aspects of personalized name displays or having a guaranteed works out of the box to xbox and pc experience with exploration for more tuning , along with being the only "GENUINELY LICENSED XBOX CONTROLLER" to support a 2.4ghz connection as well as a corded and near latest bluetooth connection, then wrap that up with multi stage profile settings that you can map yourself! Then this my friend is a winner. Now, with that said, it has only been released recently, so we have to be fair about this. The only negative TRULY, would be that it didn't work out of the box. Also, this isn't a controller you buy for your ten year old. This is meant for the player that will want to "DIG INTO THE MEAT AND POTATOES" if you will. That being said, this isn't meant to come age as age discrimination, however unless the child is actively involved, with a bit more than average computing, then they may grasp how to take full advantage of this device. I'm simply stating this for the hard working parents out there so that they feel not only safe but secure with their purchase before taking the leap. OTHER THAN THAT!! DEFINITELY GIVE IT A TRY! IT'S BEYOND GORGEOUS AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, I PRAY AND HOPE THAT YOU ALL HAVE A BLESSED DAY!! :)

Feature Packed Controller
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is packed with features. It works great for PC. I mainly bought this for PC gaming when I want to use a controller. I like that it has three different connections like Bluetooth, a Wireless dongle, or a wired connection. The screen helps for switching profiles or checking the status of the controller. The customization in Armoury Crate can be overwhelming at first, but I like having the ability to make adjustments. If you have other ROG products this pairs nicely with them. Only thing I wish the controller had was Hall Effect sensors. I also wish Asus made a case for the controller to protect the small screen in travel. Asus if you are listening this would be a good opportunity to make a travel case. I would certainly recommend this product. The build quality is on point and the design is though out. I was lucky and got it on sale. After spending several months with this controller. It is now my favorite one to use.

ROG all the way
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is a fair entry into the pro controller market. I think it works better for people who are already in the ASUS ROG ecosystem. If you plan to use it without Armoury Crate, I think you'll find it to be a bit boring. I would have liked to see Bluetooth functionality with Xbox. Dongles are a bit frustrating now that more Laptops and Consoles are reducing USB Type-A ports on their products.

Functional and expressive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun customization options from LED colors and patterns down to the embedded display, perfect for anyone who likes to brand their devices with their own sense of style. App quality could stand improvement but still a great purchase

Layout and sticks are not good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller has an AWFUL layout for the back buttons. Even still, I was willing to try it out but there are two more big cons but I'll start with the pros 1. It does have customizable stick curves 2. Sticks are pretty good in terms of precision and resolution 3. The sound quality is pretty good if that's the kind of thing you're about Now for the cons: 1. The back and start buttons are WAY down low. This means you can't reach them with your index finger, which is unworkable. 2. The 0 deadzones are not true 0 deadzones, which is just not optimal for the best esports performance.

The next gen controller that was almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played a few matches with this controller on fighting type games recently and the sticks or buttons would be unresponsive at times even on games like call of duty other than that the controller is okay but for the price it's not worth it even though I upgraded the software for the controller in some areas. I recommend waiting for a price drop

Over Priced and already have an issue
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was excited to get this as I wanted something dedicated for my pc. So the first issue is definitely the price. I feel like they justify it due to the OLED screen, which honestly is a little underwhelming. The customization for it specifically seems a little underwhelming as well. Not many pre made options through crate and doing your own does not render well. Now to my main issues I have. The paddle placement is not the most comfortable. I thought with my bigger hands it would feel great but honestly it does not. The other issue is placement of the buttons next to the xbox button and their size. Too small and too close to other buttons. My controller is already dealing with a double clicking on the right d-pad after 3 days. Which now goes to the main issue I have. The quality of the buttons and sticks. They feel cheaper in comparison to the current Elite model Microsoft offers. The trigger switch feels like I am going to break it every time I switch from playing a fps to a racer. I have an issue with not being able to tighten the joysticks like I can on my Elite controller, which also goes in with a price issue for me. For the price I feel like I should be able to do much more on the controller, or at least be on par with the Elite. Final issue is the bluetooth for it seems very buggy and laggy. Using the dongle is way smoother. Honestly I am struggling on wanting to return it and just get my money back to get the non pro model instead, just get my money back period, or sending it out to have the double clicking warranted. I love ASUS, my entire pc build and monitors are ASUS products. But the controller feels like just an overpriced Power A option with a screen on it. I would not recommend the pro model at least.

Nice gamepad with too few features for price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This must be one of the best looking XBox controllers out there. The screen is great for switching between Bluetooth and 2.4 RF, but once you have done that it's pretty useless. As a PC gamer, I don't care about the fact it can only connect to an XBox through a wire... but if I did have an XBox I'd find that pretty annoying. Also, as a PC gamer, I never used the on board sound card, which other reviews say is great, but I have no need of. My biggest disappointment though, are the programmable buttons on the back. They are easy to accidentally press, while simultaneously being hard to find when you actually want them. What's worse though, is that since this is a PC-centric controller, I thought programmable buttons meant you could remap the buttons however you wanted. The ability to bind the back buttons to keyboard and mouse functions would make this a great controller, once you got used to where the buttons were, but they can only be bound to existing gamepad functions. This is a huge oversight by Asus, and the main reason I'll be returning the controller. Overall, it's nice, I do like it, but it's way, way overpriced for the limited features it comes with. For $100 I might have kept it, but $170 is a bridge too far.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on this model. We hope that in time you will be able to use the unit and be satisfied with your purchase. We do value our customers and take negative customer service experience very seriously. You can configure the profile settings using Armoury Crate on a PC. The configured profile settings will be stored in your controller’s onboard memory, allowing you to play on the Xbox console.

Sweet Gamepad
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice controller. Absolutely love the battery life and button placement. It feels a little small in the hand and updating the firmware/software can be annoying with ArmouryCrate

Lower input latency would make this killer!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All around good feeling controller in hand. OLED is a little unnecessary, but fun. Would have loved to see the same wireless from the Asus harpe ace make it into this controller. That mouse has the best 1k mouse input response on the market and was hopping for the same here, but it's just ok. Maybe can be fixed with firmware. Also really should be able to remap buttons using the OLED on the controller. Seems like a simple miss. Even with all that, I would defiantly recommend over the xbox elite controller!

Super cool BUT!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is very light and durable but the connection to the XBox must be wired which sucks but for PC enjoy it to the fullest. Good quality, back buttons take getting used to
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the feel and quality. Smaller size which is perfect for my wife. Wish the back buttons were closer to the grips and would act like pedals, can be awkward to reach.

It’s just an Xbox Controller
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has some issues with connecting everything. The usb that’s supposed to help connecting easier hasn’t even worked so far. I will say it does have an AMAZING battery life. I’ve only charged it twice since I got it. But poor quality for something that’s literally just a rebranded Xbox controller.

Great controller with unique functions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NIce to see a company try something different. I thought the screen may be a gimmick but it actually adds some nice functions. The general feel of the controller was good, different to the official controller in its size (slightly) but still very comfortable and all the buttons are in the right place (and extra buttons on the back). So far this has been a great buy, will be interested to see what they do in the future

Awesome
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is the closest to my favorite since Astro released the C40TR years ago. I prefer this over my dualsense edge quite a bit. Haven't tried on xbox but, on PC armoury crate makes it very customizable and easy to use, the oled panel/menu is the biggest selling point to me as well. Sticks feel really good thiugh could be a bit more tense imo but are not floaty by any means. Dedicated wireless is also ine of the biggest features to me because of how it will support the rog Ally soon and the fact I can avoid bluetooth for better performance. Overall, great controller and worth the price to me over other more expensive options like dualsense, especially for PC.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent controller the display is just a gimmick. Coming from the thrustmaster eswap x I wasn't to thrilled. The back buttons feel weird at first but wasn't to bad. I ended up taking it back after a week. I didn't think it was worth getting coming from the eswap x.
