Set at the perfect price point, the ASUS ROG Strix is capable of maximum graphics settings on some of most demanding games on the market; Total War Warhammer being one those. Consistently ran all settings maxed out and well over 60fps while keeping temperature well below the danger zone.

Unlike all the new laptops this still has a cd/dvd and also a regular ethernet network connection and I do not have to rely on wireless speed. Instead I can run at fibre optic network speeds. Buy these while you can folks.. all the new thin skinny minis are out and quite usless

Have no real issues, FPS is pretty good, maybe I expected more, since the VG is bigger than my last HP. FPS is still about 120 for World of Tanks/Ships. But needed the up grade. No complaints.

Really late review but this laptop still works great. I bought an open box item 2 years ago but it did not even have a scratch and still working great. Little big but I wanted bigger screen.

Great laptop in general, it can do anything you want from gaming to design to do any kind of work. The only downside that it doesn't have 4k screen.

An awesome Video Card, perfect gaming I7 Core processor. The only caveat being the lack of SSD unfortunately.

Good but you'll beed a cooling pad

It works well, I use it mainly for school work, with a little bit of gaming, but it heats up quickly. If you are technically challenged, you might think a repaste will work...it won't you will get the same temps. Keep in mind doing anything to the device will void your warranty. Modding the bottom of the case, undervolting the cpu and gpu, and getting a cooling pad is the only way to keep it cool--either or all for really good cooling.

That laptop was nice but I bought it on sale and it came as an open box. It was difficult to return since there are no possibility of exchange.

    WANT TO LOVE IT

For the sale price I paid, $1349, I really want to love it. The track pad is awful and sticks at times then goes into hyper speed. I also tried to adjust the speed in settings but to no avail. I had intentions of upgrading and adding hardware but if I can't get past this track pad issue it will go back. It is very thin and light, coming from an MSi GT72VR Dom-033. The graphics are great. I hope this lappy works out since I did get a great price.

I've had a older azus laptop for gaming and loved it, but this new one is even better not because of the graphics card and updated well...everything but most of all it is so slim and lightweight.

Here's the thing I had a Asus before and it was strong and still works some four years later. I bought this one simply cause of the experience with my last computer. I have to say it not having a cd DVD rom installed was a bit of a surprise to me. And I have to say it is compact and sleak but I feel it's kinda flimsy where the keys are but I have only had it bout a month so maybe with time I will like it more.

This is a great computer. Very heavy duty, size is big compared to other computers but is good for movies and playing games. The price is kind of high but it is a great computer.

No issues so far, Blazing fast performance, The first laptop I've ever owned, that has the power of a desktop. I do wish it had a touchscreen and that there was a Blu-ray drive.

Our new computer did not have a cd drive built in so we bought an external hard drive. It is a good thing because we have a lot of computer games. Works great. We like it.

This computer out the box looks great, but i have had very poor performence, Laggings, freezing and games simply not opening. I have updated all drivers but do believe something is wrong with this laptop. Please assist, as at this price it is horrendous that simple tasks take 15 mins and a couple restarts to complete. Laptop bought last week...... PLEASE HELP

I have had this computer for a month now so far everything is running smooth. I will upgrade with an SSD for the OS but outside of that everything is like a charm
