AI Mesh is awesome, gaming isn't!

I have an Asus router with WiFi 7, and thought I'd grab this since it was relatively inexpensive and can expand my coverage. Unfortunately, my router is in the basement, and everything on the main level is great, but it's the top floor that becomes an issue for me.
Installing this was super easy, no issues what so ever!!!! It was almost too easy, and it 100% increased my coverage, so much so I was sold on it!
I went from 1 to 5 Mbps, to over 200 Mbps upstairs. And devices that connected to it on the main level anywhere from 600 to 800 Mbps.
The problem was gaming, upstairs would cause packet burst, random lag, and stuff like that. I couldn't figure out why this kept happening and then I found out, it's dropping packets every so often. It's fine for movies, browsing, and stuff like that, but VOIP calls, and things that require real time synchronous data, it's not good.
I gave it 3 stars because I mainly wanted this for gaming, which it failed at, but it did improve my connection, was easy to set up and the price was not bad.

I was having some trouble with my WiFi calls and some lagging on my network powered by an Asus RT-AX82U. Range was also becoming an issue everytime I closed my front door and I live in just a simple 2 story townhome, 1700 sq ft. I purchased this range extender after some research and it matches same brand as my router.
Setup was a bit of a pain, it would find RP-AX58, start connecting and Failed message. I literally hit Try Again, I saw it kept connecting faster to it each try so anyway, on the 4th try it worked and the other 3 remaining steps went fine. It matched the settings as my Asus router and the range now extends past my front door well into driveway and full bars in garage full of metal obstacles. Once a device is handed over to the RP-AX58, speeds are halved but range is extended as a result but I have 500 Mbps and videos on the extended range are just as smooth as you don't need that much to stream a YouTube video or music.
Small note, I found there was an update on my router I didn't notice because I have auto-update turned off and that seemed to quell my lagging/latency WiFi issues. So with both of those new results combined, Wifi is much faster, smoother and further reaching.

This ASUS AiMesh Repeater was exactly what I needed to solve my connection issues! My ASUS router is on the main floor of my home, but my office is in the basement, where the signal would often fluctuate throughout the day. It got so bad that my Teams meetings would frequently drop. After researching options, I decided to try this repeater, and it worked perfectly! Setup was straightforward and hassle-free. If you need guidance, ASUS provides a helpful guide at asus.com/us/support/faq/1049739/. Highly recommend it for anyone struggling with weak or inconsistent Wi-Fi signals!

This has improved the WIFI for phone service and connection with my PC. Our main router is upstairs so this has improved and boosted the signal for the back of our house and patio. My cell no longer goes into SOS. Recommended by my brother.

I purchased 4 of these to go along with my Asus GT-AX11000 Pro router, because it supports Ethernet Backhaul. Finding information about anyone using Ethernet backhaul was few and far between when I bought them, but it works flawlessly. These repeaters allow me to connect my large 5000sqft home with zero deadspots. 100% worth the investment. 5 stars across the board

I purchased the ASUS extender based on reviews from experts and it is the best decision I made. I recently upped my router speed to 1000 mps and this unit handles it without a hitch. It was super easy to install and has improved my wifi reception to the second floor of my home. I recommend this product to anyone needing an extender.

I couldn’t be happier with the performance of this extender. It seamlessly connected to my Ai Mesh network perfectly. It brought the wifi closer to the front of my home so my IoT devices were stable and faster. It’s somewhat attractive and seamlessly blends in with any room. And the nice thing is if you need to move it around you don’t have to worry about having a clunky cable and power brick in the way. I honestly couldn’t be happier. This one perfectly priced extender prevented me from having to upgrade to a new mesh router.

Super easy to install and setup. I just went to the ASUS app on my phone, selected the new mesh device and it was up and running in just a few minutes. If I need another one for upstairs or the basement, I know it is a simple process.
I now have great coverage throughout the house.

Had a wired connection available in a distant room and this allowed me to significantly extend the range and signal strength of our network. Devices on that side of the house never drop now. Using the Asus app you can lock fixed devices like thermostats or a TV to one specific access point to spread out demand. Mobile devices like phones and laptops can roam across the different access points and you won’t even notice.

The ASUS AX3000 makes expanding a home network a breeze, especially when paired with an ASUS router using AI Mesh. I've experienced no issues with it and am impressed by how effortlessly it integrates, making it an excellent choice for extending Wi-Fi coverage, like into my basement. Its simplicity and expandability are major pluses for anyone looking to enhance their home network.

Bought this to extend the wireless network in my home after we got a new service provider and my router had to move to the basement. This extender works awesome at giving good speeds around the home. I am using AiMesh and it works great on switch to the best AP, the ethernet port on the extender does indeed work as a wired backhaul if you are using AiMesh.

Must have if you live in a bigger size house that has some weak WiFi spots. Have router upstairs and set this up for downstairs where I was getting slow speeds and plugged in Ethernet and speeds are so much better.

I have an ASUS router that supports AiMesh. I bought this to extend the range, and it worked perfectly. It was simple to set up with my existing router, it took about 5 minutes. Since my network was already set up, I just used the phone app to configure it to be part of the same network I already had set up, and since then I've basically forgotten about it, which is pretty much the highest praise for something like this.

Not bad. I use two of these to really get the full effect, but ive noticed a significant increase in signal strength and bandwidth in my bedroom and garage (I have Ring cameras that need the WiFi) sinfe installing them. If yiu have an ASUS mesh router, these are definitely worth it.
My only issue is that their range is just ok, not bad, not great, but ok.
Setup was NOT friendly, however. It was tedious (and I work in Information Technology). It was a chore getting the ASUS router to recognize it as a mesh device, rather than another network device. The instructions are trash.so YouTube is your friend here.

I was hoping set up would be easy as the router I got for it originally was beyond easy. This was even easier, the app took care of everything on the backend. Just needed to plug it in and wait for the light to show it was ready and then add the device on the app.
