This has performed better than expected. I needed a router to secure internet connection while traveling and this has been incredible. It stabilizes connection, adds a layer of security, and can easily pair with your desired VPN; all with fairly simple controls within the app.

This is an amazing small machine with so much power. I use it for travel and connect in WISP mode in the hotel and normal home mode at home. Its amazing. Good purchase.

Easy to connect to whatever hotspot there is so that I can have safe internet without the risks of sharing a public wifi spot.

We are using ours as an extension to current network. The hardwire option definitely helps. Easy to set up! Will likely buy one more for the house! A must buy if you have same brand primary router!

needed a vpn router that was mobile can use it at home as main home network , i have a small studio. I also can use it when i travel to family and still have my devices with me on a private net work , while connected to the sharing family net work. i also like the ability to have my phone as a back up source and all i have to do is connected via usb cord and switch and bam another source of internet in less then 30 seconds

I have an ASUS router at home that I have WireGuard configured on. This little travel router was easy to connect to my router at home, so now when I travel I have a VPN connection back to my house. The WiFi on this router works great, all my devices get great network speeds and a stable connection. We typically have two laptops and 5 or 6 phones connected to it when my family goes on vacation and nobody complains about network speeds. It's also nice because for hotels with a WiFi device limit I only need to connect this one router and then every other device talks directly to it. I've been happy with my purchase and very happy with ASUS's networking products.

I purchased this little router for travel and hooking up to all my devices on a small private network in a hotel room. Worked great as expected. Hooked up the router to the hotel WiFi and all my devices could share a single hotel WiFi connection.

Router works great! I took it on vacation and was able to log on to the hotel private portal very easily. I had all of my ROKUs logged onto it. I did go to a local computer repair place for help with the inital set up.

Great router for traveling. Small and easy to pack. Hook up to your hotel ether net, and it gives you a secure WiFi connection for your laptop or tablet.

Purchased this as an emergency router while sorting out an issue with my main one. Also handy to have while traveling. I now use as an extended mesh router off of my main Wifi 7 Asus and it works great in that role. Recommend as a backup or travel router.

This router is a little champ. It works for site to site VPN, with a VPN service or as a VPN server itself. It can also run multiple virtual SSID, business based features (features like captive portals, AP isolation, SSID based filtering, and bandwidth management). These are features of the expensive ASUS gaming routers. This thing can do WISP, for piggybacking on public WiFi, Ethernet or even USB tethering (USB 3.0). It’s a great travel router and budget friendly.

Great little product, it was easy to set up and get it working to use with hotel wifi with my VPN settings (for security). All of my devices connected and after set-up, I didn't have to do a single thing with it for the week I used it.

Works well with my Canon cameras to connect them to the Canon Camera Connect app via WiFi connection even without Internet. Good for on-site work. Can be a little of a learning curve to use it but besides that I like it. I bought a second one to extend my signal and I can now get 400-500+ feet of signal.

I've only been using this router for a bit now, and it has been a pleasant surprise. Good transfer speeds and rock solid connection. Most of my devices are still Wifi 6 however, so not yet sure how much benefit I'm seeing for those older devices.

This router is very portable and convenient for connecting to VPN or providing secure multiple device access when traveling or using public networks.

Overall great alternative for on the go connection

Have set it up and used it briefly, won't be traveling for another month. Nice unit so far. Directions are a little lacking. Having some knowledge of routers helps find your way through it. I like it so far. Should be easy to use when traveling.
