    I would not recommend this router. Had to keep rebooting a few of these a day to make the Wi-Fi work.

    Very poor experience for the last 6 months with this router. Ir frequently drops our SSID offline, disconnects all devices in the house, then eventual brings everything online again. This happens several times per day. We have replaced it with a TP-Link - Archer AX20 AX1800, and have had a better experience, but we are not pleased with throwing away $250 on this.

To resolve this unstable connection, place the router in the center of the area you want to cover, avoid placing the router near metal objects, electronic devices or direct sunlight, position the router on a flat, hard surface and halfway between the floor and ceiling. Additionally, dense building materials, such as gypsum, concrete walls and planks can affect Wi-Fi signal penetration. Also, we recommend updating the router's firmware if it is running with an older version.     Has lots of options. It you have a strong networking background, this can adapt to your needs. My experience was a power supply that died within 1 hour of setup so i got rid of it. Your mileage my vary.

    6 ghz band stopped woking after couple of hours

    easy installation, good range. However, the 6ghz band showed up for a couple of hours and disappeared from all devices, I tried everything, including a factory reset, and didn't work anymore, taking the router back

    Constant disconnects

    I should have taken the reviews seriously. This router is bad. Constant disconnects over WiFi. Ethernet seems fine. I tried a few things I found on the internet to fix it, it clearly such a problem that there’s a lot of people talking about it. Nothing worked. If it didn’t have the disconnecting issue it would be perfect. I like ASUS a lot and this router checked all the boxes. Should have known it was too good to be true. Stay away.

    Garbage Router Randomly Drops Internet Connection

    Garbage router. Randomly drops internet connection every day or few days even on the latest firmware. Others also have similar problems when you do a Google search.

    Bad, doesn't even work.

    Really terrible. It takes forever to boot up, setup took several retries to work, and then once I got it up and running, any time I changed a setting it would reboot and half the time the config page wouldn't load at all. CPU and ram on it always show high usage. After the first reboot the internet stops working completely. The only fix is a factory reset. I even updated it to the latest software but it's just been these same issues on repeat over hours of troubleshooting. Really bad product, avoid it!

    Device crashes every day or two and reboots itself, it always runs 100% CPU usage even though I do not even use it for anything except a wi-fi access point. I have tried all troubleshooting recommended by ASUS and still have constant issues. Buy at your own risk. I recommend buying a different brand or if you have to go with ASUS just pay more for a better model.

Typically, the coverage of this ZenWIFI is up to 2700 sq. ft. To resolve a weak WIFI signal, place it in a central location within your home, away from walls and obstructions, keep it elevated off the floor and away from electronic devices that may cause interference.     I am a former ASUS AC1900/AKA ASUS 68U user. I had few of these and it was stable to the point whereby you do not ever need to touch the router. The day i switched to this, i traded my units in and i got this junk!. Total Trash.. it reboots every half an hour or so. I have tried factory reset, newest firmware. Asus said go to BestBuy, Bestbuy Says go to Asus. This is the last junk i buy from BestBuy with Asus Brand. BestBuy should remove this trash off the shelf! Asus - you just lost a loyal customer

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last. If this router is rebooting every half a hour and you have tried to update the firmware, reset it factory settings and the problem persisted, check if this unit was placed in a well ventilated location and tried to connect it to another power outlet or AC source. If the same results, this is a random hardware issue. We recommend you send the product in for service to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately.     Constantly disconnecting and struggling to work at all. All of the negative things people said are true, I just wanted to believe Asus would fix it with firmware, but I don't think firmware can fix this absolute piece of trash they call a router.

To resolve the unstable connection, check if the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired with a network cable, your ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable, and the router's security credentials matches with your ISP's modem/gateway security information. Legacy devices may not work properly with WIFI-6e and WIFI-7, please check updates for these devices. Also, try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz.
