It was really pointed out by our son (Software Engineer) and he insisted we needed a new one. Wow, what great advice, he even helped pick one out to meet out minimal needs. We love it and its so fast. The SDD is the way to go.

The crispness of the screen is not there at all. Dull and not very crisp. The battery life really is terrible. If I put it in sleep mode...it is dead by the next day. Other laptops I have had in sleep mode last for days. I have to shutdown completely to have any battery life at all upon using it the next time. While using it...the battery life is also terrible. I am disappointed in this laptop overall. I only got it as a back up in case my desktop stops working but not much good for anything else.

Just what I need

I realize it's only 760P, not 1080P, but the colors are seriously washed out and the viewing angle is very limited when viewed off straight on. We got this to replace my wife's old chromebook, that the touchpad wore out on. Side by side, the chromebook's monitor is miles superior, and it is 760P. I've done everything possible to adjust and improve it, to no avail. We have multiple ASUS products, and this is the first I've been disapointed in. Otherwise, the device works fine.
