Great Laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great laptop, still using it almost two years later (writing this review on 12/19/2023). I currently use mostly for school and personal reasons. It can go slow depending on what you’re using it for/app you’re using. I used it for Fall Guys with Epic Gaming for a bit, but this isn’t a gaming laptop so can’t be mad at it. For college and personal use it works amazing. Easy to use especially if you have experience with Microsoft and would definitely recommend. It wasn’t too expensive. At the time when I bought it, it costed $300. I did get a $60 protection but didn’t need it. I have to use a USB mouse with it and it accepts it easily (my error) & also it accepted a DVD player via usb easily as well. Battery is overall good but could last longer. I like my brightness all the way up - battery saver definitely works. And display is good, no complaints. Screen size is great size!

Plenty good for an inexpensive laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Four starts is my 'this is really good' rating, To get a 5th star, something has to blow my socks off, which this laptop doesn't. But it was 'better than expected'. Mine came with Windows 11S (on 2/3/2021). There appear to be some in the pipeline that still have Windows 10. I immediately switched to full Windows 11 (a free, easy 'upgrade', but also a one-way option. Because you can then install software from sources other then the Windows Store, you can't go back). Note that the description and the images for this laptop do NOT show an HDMI connection. My unit DOES have an HDMI (so 'better than expected' (see photo). It also has the listed ports, including USB 3 and USB C. That's nice. A few reviews mentioned that the cord on the power module was short. Mine was 6' long, which I wouldn't call 'short'. So BTE again. I haven't tried much battery operation, so I don't have a time-test. That's not a promised feature, so I'm not expecting more than about 5 hours. The battery is not removable without taking the case off (and I don't know how removable it will be then). Operation is very much what I've expected from an i3 processor with 8GB RAM. I haven't loaded any difficult software, but I may try Photoshop Express and Premiere Express just to see how they perform. I suspect not well. But for simple stuff (browser, some radio programming software) it's very responsive. I haven't seen a lag or hiccup. I'm typing this on the keyboard. It seems pretty good. The laptop is fairly large, and there's some space between keys. Plus it has a numeric keypad (kind of squeezed, but totally adequate). Key travel is a little short, but the contact is positive, and I'm typing at my normal semi-pokey pace without trouble. The trackpad is large and smoothly responsive. I like the multi-finger options. The display is about as expected. Not super high rez, but my old eyes can't read the mouse-type anyway. It won't be bright enough to read in sunlight, but I used it in my car with just the shade from the roof, and it was plenty usable. I didn't pay much attention to weight in the specs. It feels slightly heavy for as thin as it is, but then it is pretty big. OTOH, it feels 'solid', not like it's flexing and bending. And OK, I just picked up my 15" Dell Precision 5510 i7, and it's a lot heavier. So never mind. BTW, the Dell is the laptop I use for Premiere, Photoshop, Wirecast, etc. This one's just for banging around. I needed a little more than what a Chromebook would do for me, for about the same price. So note that this is an 'early daze' review. I've loaded a bunch of fairly basic software on it for programming ham radios, and all went quickly and smoothly. The WiFi works well with my home network (~200 Mb/s up and down on a 600 Mb/s fiber service on the 5GHzWiFi band). I can't think of any significant 'cons' that wouldn't be covered by the price. A lighted keyboard, more RAM, a faster processor all would be nice, but you don't get them at this price, and I didn't need them in this machine.

5 Star for the Price what you get.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has all you need for $350. I liked, 15" screen size, 10th gen i3 processor, 8GB memory and HDMI and USB C port. Excellent Battery Life (10+ hrs) Resolution is 1366x768 but okay for kids and non graphical works. You can always connect Full HD screens with HDMI or USB C ports. Build quality and look is really good, can be compared with $500+ priced laptops. Touchpad and KB are good too.. it is Win10 in S mode so you got to know how to break that, just google it. I liked Asus so far. and I would recommend.

Great laptop, best buy is meh.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop but disappointed by how best buy handles their open box sales. Not only does the picture show Windows 11. Mine came on Windows 10, which is fine because I updated it but would have been nice knowing that and the sticker residue next to the keyboard is hard as a rock. Really couldn’t have removed it for the purchaser while I just dropped $300+ on the laptop? Nothing I have used has gotten it off. Other than that the laptop is fast and works great.

Q: QuestionWhat are the built in internet browsers?
Asked by Ab.
- A:Answer My unit arrived yesterday (2/3/2022) with Windows 11 'S' installed. S is the more limited version of Windows, allowing only apps in the Microsoft Store (and only Edge as the browser). It is easy (and free) to switch back to the full Windows 11, which will allow you to use Edge to download any other browser you want.

Q: QuestionCan headphones be used with this?
Asked by Justinsdee.
- A:Answer It does have a headphone jack. It doesn't have a SD card reader though. I'm returning mine cause description says SD card reader and it doesn't have a slot for that. Also the picture and description is false; not the actual unit pictured and not what the description says it is.

Q: QuestionCan I add an external DVD/CD drive to this laptop to enable the ability to add a wireless 3-in-1 printer?
Asked by Susajo.
- A:Answer I haven't done that, but I don't see why not. There are plenty of USB ports (USB 2, USB 3, USB C). And I did nothing to install my Epson WiFi printer, and when I pushed CTL+P just now, the printer shows up.
