Powerful - but wifi is only the start of it. If you want powerful signal through the entire house you need to hardware everything that you can. Wifi hates glass and solid surfaces but is OK with wood and drywall. I would consult a technology installer.

Great router. I like asus hardware and buy their motherboards as well. This router was easy to setup and Seems to be running fine. But I had an asus router before this one that lasted 1 day passed two years and cashed. Hoping this one lasts longer.

I have not experienced any issue with this Wireless Router as I have in the past with other Wireless Routers. Easy to install and back online in Minutes. Online Support was easy to understand and no need to go to Technical Support even though they were available. I look forward to a long term use with this equipment.

Bought this after reading reviews at Best Buy and at other sites. I'm VERY happy with the purchase and the features. It was easy to setup, the instructions were easily followed and I would have no problem recommending it to family and friends.

One of the best routers for the home use. In 2600 square feet house, including basement and a back yard reception is great. Mine is placed in the middle - on the 1st floor, so it equally covers 2nd floor and a basement. Multiple cellphones, tablets, laptops, ROKUs - works great. Easy setup, very clear instructions.

I upgraded from the Asus N66 and that was a great router as well. This AC68P model features the upgraded CPU as well as AC support. Signal strength and the AC support were improvements over my trusty N66. The router has been totally stable as well.

Router was very easy to set up. Signal strength is excellent - reaches all over my 3 story house and in the front and back yards. Has great features like a guest IP, allowing guests to use internet but not access any of your network saved files.

I actually purchased a netgear router that was very similar in price and features and was disappointed in its range. It basically had the same range as my very old netgear N router. I returned it and purchased this asus router and was extremely pleased with the additional range it had in comparison.

This router is very easy to setup. It works great through out my house. I replaced a competitor's product with this one and I'm very happy. It's a lot faster and I don't lose signal like my last one. I would highly recommend this router. A+++

As long as the relatively well written instructions are even remotely followed, complete set-up is a cinch. It communicated with all my peripherals without issue. It looks cool, if that's your thing, but you still have to deal with all those cables and some don't like to bend. I give it 4 stars only due to the feeble attempt (and I realize hard to solve) issue of cable management. I will choose wired over wireless anything anytime.

After replacing a 7 year old router, the Belkin A/C router I bought died within a month of use. So I spent the bucks for the Asus. Very strong signal. Have always had trouble with Amazon Prime movies dropping signal and having to restart them. No longer a problem! Should have bought the Asus sooner.

I was having trouble maintaining a fast, secure connection in our great room & my cigar room. Purchased this router on the advice of the Geek Squad in my local BB. Now i get 5GHz connection on all three floor of our town-home. I also get coverage on our dock that is 30 yards away from our home. It was so easy to set up guest accounts & setting up all of our wireless devices. Now i am finally getting every bit (no pun intended) of the internet speed that i'm paying for. With my old router i was only getting about 75% of the listed speed. This is also a great unit to control you "Digital Home", lights, thermostat, alarm, security cameras & such.

Surpassing it's time, this router manages about 15 items I have running on the internet consistently. With the wireless-N capabilities, download speeds are faster, along with splitting the broadband with a 5GHtz and 2.4GHtz channel for different devices that need different speeds from your router.

Improved speed for our connections but can only download Nook books by sitting next to router.

Very pleased with the range, reliability and the features. Really like the bandwidth monitoring.

I live in a prewar apartment with thick plaster and cement walls. I was having a very difficult time getting reception in some of my other rooms. This router solved the problem. Made a big difference. No more disconnects.

Changed over to to Asus router after major connection issues with similar Netgear router (Nighthawk AC1900). After 2 exchanges of Netgear router and multiple emails with vendor, I still had connection issues to printer (HP 8600) and selected devices (Apple & Samsung tablets). Distance, though, was great on the Netgear. The Asus software provides more flexibility with network setup and is far more stable. I have not had any connection issues with various devices ( phones,/tablets/PCs/TVs/streaming devices of Apple, Samsung, Roku or Microsoft); there are 4 people in the house and collectively, each has a phone, tablet, PC and streaming device. My reason for a 4 vs 5-star is that the distance is not as strong as the Netgear router (at least 2.4G, 5G appears similar); in some reviews it was noted that the Asus had better distance. For those switching to Asus from Netgear, I had a few issues trying to maintain the same network names. I would recommend creating new names for the Asus routers. I did not have these issues upgrading between Netgear routers but with the switch to Asus I had some issues and had to change to new network names.

This router has great range and great speed for wireless. Would recommend this router
