Bought the router because all my devices support AC wireless and my last Cisco router only supported up to N. I live in a condo, with concrete firewalls between units. Even with the router stuck under a desk, on its side, it's 2.4G signal actually reaches almost my entire building. My diagonally downstairs neighbor's internet wasn't working, I suggested using mine, went down there, and sure enough, the 2.4G band downloaded and uploaded at the max my cable internet supports (~65Mbps). On the other hand, 5G could get picked up in their condo, but not strong enough to get a fast speed. Anywhere in my place I can get both bands, at max speed, and the router is actually on one side of the condo, because that's where my office is. So the signal can travel to all rooms of a 2bed/2bath from a corner. I get max speed through multiple walls, even outside. Pretty far outside actually. I mainly use the 2.4G band, because of its greater range. And since my internet maxes out at 65Mbps, using 5G AC wireless doesn't matter much. The wired ping is 10ms, the wireless ping is 18ms, so it really can replace a wired connection. It's never dropped, stopped, etc. The range is what makes the router great. and it truly is INCREDIBLY easy to set up, it pretty much does it itself. Then you can tweak things your own way if you want, or just leave it as is.

Recently upgraded to 200 Mbps Internet and needed a good wireless router to replace the poo-poo (apparently, cr@ppy is inappropriate language) rental equipment that needed constant reboots to reconnect and had very limited coverage. After checking reviews on several online retailers, I settled on this item. Awesome investment, and yes, it is an investment with a device this expensive. It provides much better wireless coverage than the rental one provided. Also, haven't had to restart for anything except for updates. Great speeds, 186.4 Mbps on a 200 Mbps connection. That was the best reading I got wirelessly. About mid 80s (Mbps) when IP gets busy (peak usage times). Have only had about 2 months and smooth sailing, or surfing, so far. Great for small to medium sized homes.

Very easy to set up and extremely fast. I run a esxi lab at home and run lots of server VMs for plex and subsonic and my external access to these systems fly now compared to my last router. I would absolutely recommend this device.

Bought this one because the kids complained about the wi-first service in the house. After we turned this one on, no more complaints. Speed tests are the same in every room, fast! Simple to set up and easy to manage. Several options, including guest passwords and parental controls. Worth the money in a larger home with connectivity issues, or the need for speed.

I bought this when my I purchased the xfinity modem. which I have to say the xfinity modem is a the junkiest product EVER! I was never told that those modems were refurbished and older versions of what comcast uses. That's another story! This router rocks and I totally recommend it.
