forget netgear, forget belkin, forget linksys. this is by far the best wireless router in the market with firmware updates being released by asus. if your tech savy, then this wireless router is for you.

This router is almost too east to set up and twice as easy to maintain. Perfect for people who want to have a large area covered with WiFi as well as super fast connection. Whether you want to plug it in and just have Internet or get technical and make your own system adjustments, this thing seems to be faultless.

While this router is much more expensive than some competitors products, I found the features it offered to be well worth the extra cost. With the ability to set up multiple guest networks and multiple other security features, this router is the best one I have ever used since buying my first one 15 years ago.

I love this WiFi Router. Setup was a snap and I noticed increased speeds right away. Great security controls that allow fine-tuned customization, i.e. MAC Filtering, DDoS protection, Web filtering, Guest network and more. If you're looking to upgrade your current WiFi router, the Asus RT-AC68P is a solid choice.

Haven't used all the options yet, but haven't had any issues with the overall performance. Good router.

Router works great. It solved our coverage problems. Wish there more and better features on the firewall.

Reception in the house is better. Sometimes internet goes down. We believe the problem is with Comcast.

I have been very pleased with the simplicity with configuration and performance with this wifi router.

Comcast "upgraded" my internet service by replacing my modem with a modem/router combo which wouldn't work beyond the room it was in. A Best Buy employee helped my with this purchase - it is very powerful, works throughout my 2800 square foot house with everyone on different devices. Excellent purchase!!

We needed to replace an old b class router and after checking a lot of reviews decided to buy the Asus - sure glad we did. Ended up having to get a new modem from our Internet provider because it was old as well, but now that we've got both the new modem and our new router, our wifi works perfectly.

I bought this as a replacement for a comparable Netgear unit that required several re-boots per day to keep my internet connection. After initial setup, this unit hasn't required a single re-boot. The set up was very straight forward and included an option to update the firmware from within the setup instead of downloading the update separately. While the 2.4 range is excellent the 5.0 range is is notably less as was expected. It is still very acceptable for inside the house but not much more than that. I am very happy with this device overall.

Con is / was the price. It's a great router with many built in features. Increase the speed of my internet. I have 100mbs internet, speed test on my wireless computer with old router was 72mbs, speed test with this new router is 110mbs. Wired computer went from 98mbs to 114mbs.

Bought this as my old router was capable of handling only 2.4GHz whereas my Internet speed was 100MBps+. With 5GHz bandwidth, I am getting faster throughput. Setup was easy. Tried plugging in a hard disk to USB 3.0 port to work as a network drive and it worked as expected. Wi-FI coverage is good but not the best. P.S: I m not a network savvy!

Stable, good wifi performance, excellent third party firmware available, though the stock firmware is more than adequate. Expect to wait on hold a long time if you need to call Asus for support, though the support was worth waiting for.

I am enjoying a faster connection. And strength of signal

Bought this to run up to my bedroom. Have Verizon fios and the router they gave me really doesn't work well for wireless signal. Ran a cable from the basement upstairs. The ASUS router gives great wireless speeds, I get as high as 80 Mbps upload and download. The only issue is that it drops the signal every once in a while for apparently no reason.

The router is faster than the one we had but not as fast as the salesman told us it would be.

I previously owned an ASUS RT-N66R (also RT-N66U) N900 router, and while it worked pretty fantastically for nearly two years, I began having issues with it following a power surge. Instead of replacing it with an identical model, I decided to go with the AC-68P because I wanted greater reliability in handling video streaming/gaming across multiple devices as compared to my N66R. It definitely delivers. After a painless initial setup, installing the latest firmware update, and making some additional (unnecessary for most) tweaks to the router's configuration in the browser-based portal, everything ran smoothly, and continues to do so!

I had one before but due to a lightning strike it got burned. I use it in my office and works perfectly, good range and reliability.

After deciding to add parental controls, we tried several routers. This is the best router for setting up parental controls. The support is horrible. I needed help setting up and spent quite some time talking to support that knew less than I did. Eventually, I was able to set it up myself! I love that each device can be set up individually, both with times and ratings. The router is a 5+, but customer service is a 1!
