This is one of the best routers in the market. It might not be the latest model but it benefits from having a history of fixed bugs through firmware updates which newer models don't.

I purchased this router because I needed to extend the coverage within my house. It was easy to set up, covered the whole house well (3500 sq ft 2 floors) and the tools to view connected devices, usage and prioritize bandwidth were exceptional. Within a few days, I noticed intermittent dropped connections, router rebooting etc. The frequency began to increase and by day 7 it was chronic. While trying to trouble shoot, it died completely. Would not power up. Great router while it worked. But not reliable

I bought this hoping to do away with my extender but this was no better than my old 69.00 Netgear. I bought the Nighthawk Netgear and problem solved. It did the trick for the same price as the Asus. IMO not worth the price.

replace an apple timemachine for the ac band -- was a little disappointed in it's range, but maybe something I hadn't done right -- really like all the options in router programming

It's a great router and I've had no problems so far since purchase. It has great range is great speeds

Having installed this model router previously for friends I finally decided to replace my own home router. Excellent signal range, bandwidth capability, and parental controls.

The only router that could get around the walls in my apartment. Great speeds at even long distances.

We live in a rural area and had trouble keeping our internet connection. We also had an older model router. The new router resolved the connection problem to our multiple devices.

The installation was really simple and it works pretty well. I've had issues with my wifi but I think it has more to do with the horrible cable/internet company in this area than the actual router itself.

Bought this router after doing a bit of research. Even though the cost is on the higher end, you are definitely getting what you paid for. Range and reliability is superb!

No need for a range extender with this router. Easily hooked it up and programmed it. Now my laptop downstairs is blazing at 64Mbps instead of the 9Mbps before.

This router has performed as expected. We upgraded to this because with a family using phones, tablets, laptops, etc., we couldn't function with less. Happy with our purchase.

Good signal in all parts of house. No problems. Product is reliable with no interference.

Got this router to bridge between my fios router and after much difficulty (fios router end) it worked and I now have wifi signal in my far far right corner room 3 floors up.

I bought this Asus 1900 router at the recommendation of the salesperson I met when coming in to buy a replacement range extender for my old Linksys router. As the old router was no longer under warranty, I opted to buy this 'much more powerful' one that would 'not even require the extender' that I came in to buy. Well, not so, as it turns out. It performs about as well as the old router without its booster, except that it drops connection with mobile devices all the time. It cost me about 5x as much as a replacement extender and my result is worse than the original set up. Thanks a lot.

I researched both this router and the Netgear equivalent in order to upgrade from a Dli k dir825. I choose this router because of the speed and GUI systems. Took 10min to install on an DSL ISP. Asus auto detected my DSL which was outstanding. Although I did purchase the USB 3.0 AC matching antenna i don't think I needed it. My network speed increased 3x and no more internet buffering! Perfect upgrade for me!

Works well most of the time. We are not sure why we have trouble from time to time. May be something in the air waves, or maybe we don't have it hooked up correctly. But when it works it works great

Needed a new wireless route this defiantly did the trick a little difficult to set up online but it is good to go

Setup is a bit of a pain but once complete it really boosts the wifi of the house. The dual band signals help with the entire house getting a strong connection.

Once I got this hooked up I noticed the difference immediately. Very quick to connect devices. It was a bit challenging on the set up but worth the effort.
