I researched for at least 2 weeks before getting this router. I was really thinking about an ac3200 one, but this on acutely has more data through put then more expensive routers. I live in a large home and still on the far side I lose connection.

This is a great wireless router. Most routers that have all of the same features are more expensive and do not give the option of LAN port customization.

I suppose depending on what you are coming from this is a good upgrade. I was using the Asus AC1700, and this is really no different except it has a button on the back that lets you turn off the blinking lights on the front. That was really the reason for the upgrade, we have this standing upright on our entertainment center and the lights on the other model were kind of distracting while watching TV. So for $200, we were able to solve that problem. No difference in coverage or speed, just no blinking lights. If blinking lights are your problem, buy it. If you are looking for better speeds and coverage from something similar but a couple years old, this isn't it.

It was recommended by a sales man to purchase this router, and it works great for our needs and a good price.

Easy to install, I installed the router in around 15 minutes. I setup it up as a go between my service provider modem and my internal network devices. It got rid of issues where devices were not able to reach the network. It also allowed more devices to work concurrently. Had it for a month and no problems with it.

By far the best purchase I have made in the last few years. I had an old wireless router that I thought was doing its job but once that one kept resetting, I picked up this unit and could not be happier! It was set up and running in minutes and I haven't had a single connection issue at all. Streaming movies and online gaming are no longer suffering from any buffering or lag.

I had to return another router from a different manufacturer because it didn't work. The ASUS works beautifully. I am delighted with ASUS router performance.

I'm not computer literate and I was worried about setting it up. Directions were simple and easy to follow.

Signal is robust. Signal is strong and good. Just price is a little high.

Really extended my home wireless capabilities. I have a 3400 square foot, 2 story home and I can easily use my wireless on all my devices even outside.

I originally purchased a router/modem combo that was another brand. First one constantly lost connection so I returned it. Second one did the same thing. I had to reconnect all my devices several times a day. Not so since I purchased this router. Everything stays online. Highly recommend this.

Great router, I am able to connect all my devices without any problems.i also like being able able to access the setting and make chances on my own.

I purchased this after receiving a recommendation from an engineering friend that is big into electronics and I've had no issues with this router whatsoever. It was fairly simple to set up and it's very fast! If you're in the market for a step up on your old router, this will do the trick.

This is a top-ranked router on many online sites, and there is a reason for that. It just works well. Speedy fast! This is actually my third AC68, and they have all worked well. Great speed now that we have a few 5G toys running at 600 and 867 . The first had a random death--we lost the ability to reset it under the "admin" default, and it may have been a victim of a storm related power surge here in Indiana. The warranty replacement from ASUS took way too long--three weeks from ASUS, but that is another story. The second one lasted for four months, then fell victim to an early season thunderstorm. Enough already! Didn't plug the third (current) one in until I had an $80 Panamax power conditioner to protect it. The Panamax lasted only four days--snuffed by a minor power fluctuation in high winds. [The alarm clocks and microwave didn't go to 12:00 blinky-reset land, but the Panamax died--weird!] Finally got a new P-max and we are still going All that to say, this router iworks great--we've easily had 12-20 things going--but it is far from cheap. It will get zoinked if you live in an area with electrical storms. Do yourself a favor and buy this with a good power conditioner at the SAME time...and the FIRST time. And then enjoy the router as well as the peace of mind.

This router sped up my connection speed and it expanded my signal area greatly. I am really happy with it.

with upwards of 20 devices connected to the network at any given time we have seen no decrease in connectivity or degredation of the wireless network

Me not being a techie it was not real easy to install by myself. However, a computer tech friend of mine had me up and running in less than 5 minutes.
