Used in the office
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this router for work because out old one dropped connection a few times a day. We have at least 25-30 devices connected on a daily basis and haven't had a single drop in 2-3 months. Very happy with the router (using both 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, and Guest network features).

Goes the distance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In our house we converted the garage into an office, so it's an area that is "technically" supposed to be outside. With our old router, it just wasn't strong enough to get wi-fi. We bought this one, and now the speed is faster and always has a connection. No more dropped internet! I've also experienced faster download speeds on my PS3 and PS4.

Worth the extra price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I admit that this router is quite expensive for the novice user, however, for me, it was well worth the price as it solved all of my issues. I tried the netgear R6250 first, but found that at the corners of my house, I would lose signal (my house is about 3200 sq ft). That router also tended to kick devices off the wireless once 4 or 5 other things logged in. We have about 15 different devices that at any given time use the wireless, so I needed something that could handle that. So far, so good. I get a strong signal anywhere I go in the house. My problems with dropping devices off the wireless also seems to be solved. We had about 7 devices going at once last night, including online gaming, and everything stayed connected. I highly recommend spending the extra money if you face similar issues in your home.

Great Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The BEST router I ever owned. As technology improves you get great products. But routers are always promising great things. However they always come with bugs that impact your work life for about a week or so. This router worked right out of the box, with no downtime. Great Buy!

Great Start
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a lower end wifi router with this router and so far I am very happy. Installation was a breeze and the performance improvement over our ~$40-50 Belkin router is outstanding!! Even my wife is happy and has noticed a difference - and that is saying something!!!!!!!

Very Fast and Stable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many tools most users won't need but the AC 1900 is very easy to setup. Range is very good and most important this router is very STABLE. I have had it for about 3 weeks and have not had to reset it. I tried the new ASUS RT-AC87R Wireless-AC2400 and although the range was better the 5G connection was almost useless and I had to reset the router at least twice a day. The AC 1900 in my opinion is the best router in it's class and you won't be disappointed on it's performance and stability

Best Router Out there for the Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely the best router I've ever had, hands down. The USB 3.0 port, fast dual-band network, killer looks, fast processor, all the settings, everything is just great about this router. Hasn't skipped a beat and I've had over a year now.

Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wireless outdoor cameras finally stay connected!!! The high power and external antenna make all the difference. Easy to set up, I am a telecom tech but I think a beginner can set it up easy with the tools available.

ASUS "technical support" is terrible.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So. Last night i purchased the RT-AC68P from Best Buy. i get it home set it up very easy to do. i updated the firmware to 4585 as the device requested (very simple). then the problem starts (this was all within 60 minutes) the router will not hold a wireless signal. after about 30 minutes of use the router will drop wifi connection to the point where you have to disconnect your wifi adapter and reconnect it to make it work again on all devices (phones/tablets/pc). i called and talked to ASUS product support about it they didn't seem to even know how to troubleshoot (i do this for a living) i told him everything i tried including trying a beta version of their firmware and it still had the problem. because I'm on the 5G network and not 2.4 there is not interference; no one in my area even has one yet. he didn't ask for logs or anything just simply said i should reset the router to default settings and reboot it and see if that works. how the heck is that even a troubleshooting step you would rather me as a new customer to have to call in multiple times because you don't want the logs from this machine? they are created for a reason. over all terrible experience. i will be returning this and looking for another router. ASUS: i record my telephone calls too. if you're interested in hearing this conversation please contact me i would more than love for this rep to actually learn to do their job.

Works but network printer support is bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to get this working, and it definitely improved our connection speeds, but I've been disappointed by their support for network printing. First of all, my new MacBook is using the El Capitan OS and they don't support it so I cannot print anymore. They have no idea when they'll support the latest OS. I then tried to install their printer controller on other macs in our house that had older OSs that they do support. The controller software wouldn't find our network connected printer. So, at the moment, nobody in the house can print anything, which has been a major problem

Lightning fast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router after I got fiber hooked up at my apartment. It is incredibly fast and super reliable. I used to have to reboot my old linksys router all the time and this thing has maybe been rebooted once in the entire time I've owned it. Could not be happier. If you want speed and reliability you cannot go wrong.

Great when it works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great first month or so then will need constant rebooting. Router will lose all connections wired and wireless randomly. After waiting patiently for firmware updates hoping it'll get fixed I finally returned it about 1.5 years after purchasing via Geek Squad Warranty for exact same unit. Once again worked great first month then constant rebooting was required once again. I even bought a new modem thinking maybe that could've been cause. Nope, problem goes away only when asus is rebooted. Luckily I still have Geek Squad warranty and will be returning for next model up or another brand. Take away the random disconnects, the features and speed of this Router are excellent. I gave it one star cause it always seems to lose connection at the worst times such as doing a backup and I'm sure the USB storage attached will get corrupted one day due to shutting off power without properly ejecting via GUI in router. When connection is lost, there is no way to login to user interface.

Don't Hesitate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brought this router to replace the RT-N56U as I was being challenged with streaming movies due to other streaming activity in the house. Connected this in less than 10 minutes including updating settings and have not experienced any buffering since. Don't hesitate to purchase!

Great Wi-Fi Range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been having the router for just one day, so I haven't had a chance to test a lot but I can tell you that its Wi-Fi range is far better than my old D-Link DIR-655. Now I'm getting very strong Wi-Fi signal in the spots where D-link could not reach at all. I will update my review when I start using the more advanced features of the router.

The Best Router I've Had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a router that would give me the wireless speed that matched or at least came close to the speed I am paying my provider for. This one fit the bill. It was easy to set up and has worked perfectly ever since.

Solid router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very solid router! Switching from an Apple Airport Extreme. Comparing to that I found the range was much farther and signal was more consistent. The three directional are a nice change as not all setups/residences/offices are the same. UI was easy to understand and navigate. Updating the firmware was a click of a button. Look of the router is sleek and futuristic, looks awesome next to my computer setup. You even have the option to turn off the LED lights on the device. Two USB slots allow you to hook up multiple hard drives for cloud storage. Well done ASUS.
