My computer box had been open and I wasn’t buying an open box item. None the less the product I am very pleased. I can use it for so many different things.

I liked everything else about the system and planned to just keep it turned off. It is off and has not come on in weeks. I do not know what has happened. In the last 2 weeks the sound just does not work. At first I thought it was Chrome and Youtube but not so, I cannot play musinc in the preinstalled Groove app either. This is too much money for these types of problems and only 2 months of ownership.

The screenpad takes computing experience to the next level. To reactivate it, the hotkeys( Fn + F6) needs to be pressed simultaneously.
Regarding the issue with the sound, please make sure the correct output device was selected inside the Sound or Audio Settings. If using an external audio device, please ensure it is working properly. Keep Windows current with updates, and verify if the laptop has access to a working and stable internet service since poor connection will affect system performance and audio may become choppy while streaming.
Also, please run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/.
