Within a couple of weeks of installation, it disconnected from the internet and I had to reinstall it. I hope that this won't be a recurring problem, but the system is too new for me to know. Coverage is fine and speed is excellent, so if it remains stable, I'll be very satisfied. Unlike a competitor that wants you to pay a high annual fee, ASUS is promising lifetime updates on malware security.

We had a netgear router prior that within a year replaced twice. The 2nd time Best Buy was out of the netgear so paid an extra $100 to get the ASUS. We use this in our business, so had to get one now. We continually lose wifi connection with different items like laptop, ATM, phone, etc.. and have to reconnect. Although this product doesn't work very well for us it might for someone else.

I have used it for roughly 3 months now and have upgraded the firmware several times. This device has been the worst router I have ever had. Our devices are constantly losing connection. Phone, tablets, lights and TVs. We have to constantly toggle the Wi-Fi on and off to connect. The Wired devices work great but anything wireless keeps disconnecting. I keep hoping the next version. Will be better. I also find resetting the router often helps a little. I will most likely be buying a different brand mesh because this one is just not reliable. This was just a huge waste of money.

1. Launch a web browser and enter http://router.asus.com.
2. Login with the router administrator account.
3. Go to [Wireless] > [General] page. Turn off [Enable Smart Connect] and select the [Band] for your network devices.
4. Disable [802.11ax / WiFi 6 mode]
5. Disable [Wi-Fi Agile Multiband]
6. Disable [Target Wake Time]
7. Disable [Protected Management Frames]

But it kept dropping packets - 3 to 5%. Made Zoom calls and streaming videos impossible. Just couldn't handle the through-put. Went back to my older Asus RT-N router with no issues.
