Skeptical - should've worked better

Thought I'd try the mesh system as we have 4 levels and this supported wifi6. Install was easy enough but fastest speed i was able to get from any device was 12 to 15 Mbps off a 200Mpbs pipe. I don't think so..... Returned and replaced with ASUS RT-AX82U and no issues so far

Setup was easy, but speed is not there

I've got a 600 MB fiber connection that comes in consistently at 640 down and 430 up. The best connection I can get is on my Samsung Galaxy 9, which gets 300 down and 300 up. Nothing else will connect at better than 150 down and 250 up. And that is after upgrading my devices and getting a brand new laptop with a GB wireless adapter.

New Wifi Has Been Unreliable

Simple use needs for a family of four in a home. We previously had a Google tri unit wifi system that NEVER went out. I bought this thinking we were upgrading with newer technology. This unit will go out unexpectedly and we have to unplug it and plug it back in on a school night. With the pandemic we have quite a few work from home and virtual learning situations at the house so this "upgrade" has become a very unpopular decision. I called Asus twice to "fix" while we were on the phone and that hasn't helped. Cable company ran two separate tests and my internet connection is solid. I called Best Buy and they want to charge me $99 to send someone out to the house to fix / look at it. Yikes. The user control dash for this unit online is extremely complex and I don't recommend it for a non IT pro for home use (unless you have access to an IT Pro).

1. Turn the router power off.
2. Press and hold the "WPS" button and turn the router on.
3. Power light is on (keep holding the WPS button).
4. Power light starts flashing for about 5 seconds.
5. Keep holding until the power light stops flashing and the router will automatically reboot.

Not true mesh

Satellites also had to be reset a few times before finally syncing with the base. If looking into this item go with it’s bigger brother.

We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused regarding the constant connection drop. To improve connection and signal strength, please verify if the ZenWifi are within range to each other and to an established wireless router and internet service is working properly. Also, please verify these devices are located away from obstructions like walls and any electronic or electrical devices that generates excessive RF or electrical noise that can interfere with the wireless signal even if they are setup within range to each other. If these steps were already done to no avail, a firmware update may need to be performed on the ZenWifi to resolve the connection issue if the version is outdated.

These are not the Mesh devices for you

Now it flashes blue and will not stay connected to the network. It's running ethernet backhaul. If this stayed working, would have been 5 star for sure. Do Not buy this router if you want stability

Wireless devices are also unable to connect. I have done factory reset 3 times and same issues. I am outside of 14 days return period otherwise would have returned it. Asus customer support is horrible. Wasted 10+ hours to get RMA number, They are going to repair it, no replacement. and you have to pay for the shipping. Just save yourself from headache. This is last product I will ever buy from ASUS.

Not good, bad connection issues daily.

These were terrible to be honest, disconnected daily, the app was complete trash and the signal strength was pretty bad for this price. I would definitely go with another brand if you can.
