Worst connectivity ever

Worth the money and user friendly.

It's now almost 3 years old and it's still working well. The settings are great for beginners and those of us that understand networking. I would give it 5 stars but now and then I like to reboot the system and one or the other mesh routers must be manually re-added to the system.

No good product

All of a sudden, it stopped working; tried to reset - it would not connect to the app. Looked up various measures how to reset it - everything failed. $280 waisted. Not sure I will be able to recover these funds from the manufacturer - it is still under warranty. BestBuy told me I have to get in touch with ASUS. I cannot even register the product on their website - gives me a message "registration unsuccessful" . Not a good experience. The site is asking me to break down the rating and all the available options are: ease of setup, signal strength and range. All that was good (4 to 5) until it broke. So, I will give it rating 1 for all the categories just because they did not give me fair choices.

Replaced my ASUS RT-AC88u gaming router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This mesh wifi is a beast at the price. USE THE APP TO SET IT UP. If you do not use the app I could see where it is a pain to get working. I am streaming 4k video without stuttering which I would get with my old setup. I put one in my computer room for internet connection, one is under my tv console with hardwire to a switch for all of the devices there, and one is in the far side of the house to fill in dead spots. I cannot say enough how much better this is than my old setup. It took about 45 minutes to setup including all of the updates.

Great value and easy to set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 2400 square foot home on a single level with my cable modem at one end, and my in-home office at the other. Traditional modem/router/wifi set up resulted in very low signal strength in the office forcing me to purchase a range extender which was an intermittent and mediocre solution at best. I researched mesh wifi systems and found this system would meet my needs and not cost me a fortune. I was VERY pleased with the packaging. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. Set up was completed in about 15 minutes and it has worked flawlessly. The mobile app provides excellent monitoring and control, and the website app is even more robust. Asus puts out great products and this one did not disappoint. Highly recommended!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So i never write reviews but i am now heres why,,so this product worked great for like 5 months ,,,maybe ,,,but then i started having internet issues,,i thought it was my isp,,after yhem being here for hours redoing all my lines ,,come to find out it was my wifi mesh system from asus ,,,,again when it was working it was awesome ,,but heres the kicker,,my wife works from home mind you and relys on the internet /wifi,,i called customer support and they said they would exchange it ,,oh wait they didnt have any refurbished ones in stock and they would let me know within 48hrs if they got some ,,well guess what they didnt ,so i called back call the same bullcrap excuse ,,so i said upgrade me tthen ,,ok sir we will escalate your case talk to you in another 48hrs,,,receive a crappy email with pretty much no help ,,so called again ,,what it boils down to is i have to send my system in for repair which will take weeks ,,,why is that my fault ,,its not ,,they shouldve sent me a new one if they didnt have any refurbished ones in stock ,,so beware if you buy this product and it because faulty,,then it will take weeks for them to rectify the situation,,i had to go out and buy another touther to get my house back up and running while asus screws me around

Wifi awakened thanks to these routers

However, that all changed when these mesh routers breathed new wifi life into my 1,000 sq ft condo! I had a few deadspots that are alive again and I couldn't be happier.

Works great when it isn’t killing my modem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router on august 1st and after 3 weeks of having it my modem stopped working it would hold onto its IP ADDRESS . I didn’t think it was the router because as soon as I bought a new modem everything was fine. Until September 27th... my internet stopped working and I thought it was the modem again... but this time I reset the modem and still nothing before I go out to buy a new modem I reset the router to defaults and set it up again it started working.. until October 1st my new modem keeps losing its IP address again... no way could this new modem be doing the same thing without something causing it. I troubleshot everything and the only thing I could find was the router had voltage on the Cat5e cable from the router to the modem. I’m assuming this is what’s killing my modems.. i tried returning the items to Best Buy but because the purchase was more than 15 days ago they won’t take them. Now I have to purchase another modem and router which is another $500.

Garbage

Not even a year old and have had several firmware updates, just did one last night and it killed it. I cannot connect to the router or control it, can’t even do a factory reset, so now it’s in the trash. Garbage

slow speeds, extremely cheap feeling.

Returned it the same day and got an EERO system. Speed was still slightly slower, but nowhere near as low as with the ASUS. Build quality for this mesh system was awful as well. felt like 75% of it was empty. plastic and lightweight. I just can't recommend this at all.
