Superior to standard cable, worth the extra cost
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this mid-range cable for our new Samsung TV. I installed an inexpensive cable for comparison purposes and found the AudioQuest cable to be worth the extra cost. Compared to the cost of the TV, its an incremental expense that improves the viewing experience.

Posted .Hello Fikey, congrats on your purchase of the new Samsung TV. I'm glad you were able to do a comparison between different HDMI cables, that is something we encourage all people to do. Doing a first hand comparison between cables with your own equipment is a valuable tool as you will then know exactly what you are getting in regards to the audio and video performance of one cable versus another. Glad that you found the Carbon HDMI provided you with an improved viewing experience.

Even Standard Definition looks impressive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased two of these cable and as you'd expect the blu ray player looked great, HD Cables does as well. What suprised me was the image of standard definition, my son was watching Nicktoons and Nick Jr. and they had had no more blur or blocky look that the Monster cable would produce. In all a great pick up. Can't wait for the third for my PS3.

WOW!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Started out with Monster cables way back in the day. Then, I upgraded to 4K Samsung, Oppo Blu Ray connected to Denon 6200 with Dolby Atmos and 7.1.4 system is now being heard, seen and felt like never before. Truly amazed with the depth and clarity of sound and picture. I should note that I have upgraded all power cables with AudioQuest NRG 2 on Denon, Oppo BluRay, DVR, Sub and AppleTV as well which greatly widened soundstage and gave devices proper power due to heavy duty pure surface solid copper within power cables. I've also installed the AudioQuest NRG Edison 20 Amp wall outlet replacing regular outlet which greatly improves Panamax M5400 power conditioner as well. Thank you AudioQuest for giving my entire home theater a breath of new life!

If this is as much as you can afford than Do It!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spend as much as can afford to make sure my Hometheater investement looks the best possible. Monster cables are great but the next level up is AQ. This cables give me the flawless picture action i payed for. But I do own higher grades HQ cables and they are well worth my investment. I had an issue with two of them and because of HQ's 5 year warrenty, they replaced my old cables that were discotinued with brand new replacements worth $800 dollars and they didn't blink to do it either! Buy them!

Seriously, grammar.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.People who review cables with these sarcastic reviews are tragic, and rarely strike on the actual details. I bought a new ES receiver and several AQ cables and was Able to HEAR the difference. Yes cables can be very expensive, but for those of us who are audiophiles: the price doesn't matter. The difference in quality is there, it just sucks that sarcastic individuals ( that don't have the ear/ eye for it, have to skew the buying decisions of the few. I had to special order this cable to get it, tomorrow I'm going to return the chocolate and cinnamon I purchased to special order a second one of these for my ps3 and xbox. I payed the difference, and to all my friends will recommend the same.

A nice upgrade from my Cinnamon cable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.People who say there is NO difference between HDMI cables are just trying to justify to themselves to go cheap. Now it does depend on what you are connecting the cable between. If you put this Carbon HDMI on a Cable or Satellite box, you probably won't see that much of a difference compared to some middle grade cables. I connected this cable from my PS3 to my Samsung to first test it, then to my receiver. It was a nice upgrade from my previous Cinnamon cable, which is already a great cable in it's own right. The picture's motion was a bit smoother with gaming and faster action. I also noticed that film grain looked a little cleaner, not sure why though. The biggest upgrade was with my audio though. Everything sounded a little crisper with more detail. I also noticed that the sound fields were more distinct. Again not sure exactly why, but I will take the upgrade. All and all if you want the best quality, go Audio Quest and specifically a Carbon HDMI. You never have to upgrade your HDMI again with one of these guys. Downfall though is that it is a little pricey.

Superb performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply put - you will not be disappointed! Purchased this after speaking with the Magnolia rep. They were completely honest and did not even steer me to the most expensive one, but recommended just the ones I needed based on the intended application.

No Improvement over old Monster M 1000HD Cable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This audioquest carbon cable replaced monster m1000 hd cable that I have had for sometime when monster was making high-end cable. I honestly see no improvement nor enhancement over the monster m1000 hd cable at all. I have watched Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk which is recorded in 4K HDR 60 fps and see no difference at all. The TV is a LG C9 OLED and the 4K player is a Sony X800M2 along with the Samsung HW-Q70R soundbar. I am not at all saying that the carbon cable is not a great cable, obviously the monster m1000 hd is a cable that was ahead of it's time and still is a performer in the 4k HDR world even at 60 fps viewing. There might be improvements over lower quality cables but comparing to the monster m1000 hd absolutely no improvement.

Don't be Fooled by Expensive Cables
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't let salesman trick you into buying expensive HDMI cables. They don't make a different in quality of picture or sound. Some salesman will claim an expensive HDMI cable is needed for a 240HZ television. This is completely false as the processing takes place after the signal gets to the television. HDMI provides a digital signal made up of zeros and ones. There is a special format in which the data is sent to increase efficiency but this is not the forum to elaborate on that. While a more expensive cable can look better, it does nothing to alter the digital signal in a way that will improve the pictures. All the positive reviews here are wishful thinking by people justifying their purchase. Granted, a very cheap cable might not be as well built with a connector that might be a little less sturdy. However, if the HDMI cable works, then you are already getting the best picture possible. Especially on 3 feet foot run. Signal degradation on that distance is virtually impossible. The only area a better cable might help is on a very long run, over 20 feet. Generally, an hdmi cable either works or it doesn't. This is not the old days of analog where the cable was subject to attenuation and stray signals. The only instance a higher quality cable might help is on very long runs. Even then, you still don't need to spend an outrageous amount of money. I purchased a 59.00 cable that was 75 feet long and it worked perfectly. Im sure the manufacturer will disagree and they should as they need to support their product. However, do some research on your own. I can almost grantee that if you did a blind test with anyone on here who gave stellar reviews, they would not be able to tell the different. Its amazing how a placebo can have an effect like that.

Inside this $200 cable is a $5 cable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seriously folks, it's digital 1's and 0's that go in and digital 1's and 0's that come out. What you're hearing that's different is the whooshing sound that your money makes as it flies away!!
