No matter what brand they will all be the same. Unfortunately some consumers think cost = performance and in this case it does not. You can purchase HDMI cables for $1-2 a piece online. The picture and sound will be exactly the same as any other HDMI cable you can purchase. The only difference in HDMI cable are their spec versions. Check Wikipedia for specifics. Please do not waste your money on overpriced cables.

HDMI cables are not all the same. We've demonstrated time & time again the difference between HDMI cables, as well as USB cables and Ethernet cables. Better conductors = less distortion and less distortion = better performance.
Our HDMI line starts at $26.00, which I think is very reasonable for a cable that will provide better performance than a "generic" cable.

Posted .Hi Ryan 1982, looks like you've had a chance to view both the Chocolate and Vodka HDMI cables in your system. We feel the Chocolate HDMI cable is a great performer compared to other cables in the same category. But, no doubt, the Vodka is even that much better in both audio and video performance. You really can't go wrong with either cable.

After doing lots of research I realized these are an absolute waste of money when you can buy a cable for 6 bucks that performs exactly the same. Now if you are running a long length of HDMI over 20 feet that's a different story but in my case it was 6 feet and was pointless.

Go to CNET and read the report if you don't believe me. I purchased these cables in desperation trying to resolve a distortion issue with my new 70" LED. These premium cables made absolutely no difference in the picture quality.

Since it is digital, it either works or it doesn't, there is rarely an in-between. Any of the reasonably priced cables will work great for 99.999% of people. I use cables that cost $6.99 online, and they work flawlessly. People who claim they get a better picture are completely mistaken, it is in their mind. For reference I have a PhD in Electrical Engineering. If you really think you need it, buy a reasonably priced cable first, save over $100, and if it doesn't work, return it to buy this.
