Did some research around for a smart lock and finally settled on the august pro. Does exactly what is decribed to perform. Love the auo lock and notification feature. Sometimes the dead-bolt doesnt close if the door is not all the way pressed in completely. (though its in a closed position).

I don't know how I've lived without it. It unlocks when I am driving up, locks on it's own after a designated time. It also connects with Siri and Alexa. Batteries last about 3 months of normal use. You can manually turn the knob as well. Great iPhone app. No complaints here

This door lock is great! Works with apple home so I can control it using Siri. You’re able to program it according to your needs. I can have mine unlock when I’ve arrived within 5 feet from my door. It’s nice when I don’t want to be scrambling through my purse for my house keys.

The August lock is one of the best smart lock kits on the market. The only downside I have is that it requires 4 AA batteries that don’t last more than a few months at a time, at least in my case paired with the Wi-Fi bridge. Even so I’d recommend this lock to anyone.

Works as advertised and very helpful as this is in a private community and the Security office has keys, so it keeps people honest or at least let’s me know when someone enters. Love love the hands free unlocking either by detecting my presence or by Sire voice command.

This was a gift for our father who is not in good health. It is very helpful for him to lock and unlock the door with limited mobility. This is also great for the rest of the family as well, easy install and we no longer have to carry an extra key one tap open or lock on the phone app.

This is a good functioning smart lock. I use both Apple HomeKit and Alexa and this is the best reviewed smart lock on the market that works with both. The only thing is the size. I would have given 5 stars if it was smaller like the August pro lock that is only available for Alexa.

Easy and quick setup, connects quickly, works like a charm, able to connect with my Samsung smartthings as well.

Replacing my dead bolt was very easy to do, they give you clear instructions to install it for just about any door. I was up and running in about 20 minutes. The August app was simple top set up. Everything paired without issue and it linked up to my Google home setup with no fuss.

This is a great smart lock, it's convenient and easy to use. My apartment door doesn't really support smart locks, but I was still able to tape the metal plate of this lock in position and it's been working great!

Being able to use your phone to lock and unlock the door whether carrying something or needing to let a family member in while away helps more than ever. You also have the ability to turn the lock per usual. I'd but another but fresh out of doors.

This smart lock is super cool! You can lock/unlock anytime from anywhere using the app. It’s also piece of mind that you can set it up to automatically lock when you leave and unlock when you get home. It also works great with Alexa.

Excellent smart door lock. It took less than 15 minutes to install and set up. I can open the door for anyone even if I am not home. If there is one issue it is that it doesnt always open on approach. It works about 80% of the time.

You buy it, stick it on, link it up, and it works like a charm! What else can you ask for?! Sometimes there is a small delay with the auto locking feature, but beats having to rummage through my bag looking for my keys. And great features if you have forgetful kids at home too.

I purchased 3 of these locks to use with homekit from Apple. The locks can only be checked and controlled via the homekit app if YOUR HOME KIT HUB IS WITHIN BLUETOOTH RANGE OF ALL LOCKS. This was difficult to figure out because august’s Website and tech support (2hrs on the phone with them) does not have this information. The locks have a “connect” hub that sends the locks status out over WiFi. This will allow the lock to work with the August app when you are away from home or home hub is out of Bluetooth range for the locks. But you will get an error message in the home kit app because homekit can not see the lock’s WiFi information. August should integrate WiFi connectivity for these locks to truly be considered compatible with homekit. Otherwise the locks are very easy to install and set up. They keep your same lock cylinder (same key you already use) and work perfectly with the August app and google home kit app all of the time (google home kit uses the August app to control the lock which works over WiFi unlike homekit that makes its own connection to the locks via BLUETOOTH connection from home hub) In summary - These locks are a bad option for you if you want to install one of them more than 15’ away from your Apple home hub.

this lock is really easy to use, and i absolutely love the conveniences to having the auto-lock and auto-unlock features. easy to install and set up as well. i would definitely recommend this for being part of your smart home/apartment.

Worked right out of the box, only little difficulty was sliding the unit over the provided bracket as it fits very tight. Works great and if you leave it unlocked it sends multiple warnings. I chose not to auto lock but that will be you call.

This lock does everything and more. Easy install. Always connected, has not dropped connection once. With a large family, this lock has worked flawlessly for everyone. Keypad always works. Remote connection away from home always works. Full logging. Great product well executed.
