It's great to know that when I leave home no matter if I'm in a hurry or not my front door is always locked. Not to mention when I have guests over and they leave I know if my door wasnt closed so i can go lock it.

Product is perfect for when your renting! The landlord was ok with this as you don’t have to change the outside piece and don’t have to get a new key! It goes over your existing lock! Works perfectly

The August Smart Lock Pro is easy to install and easy to connect with the Connect Bridge, It's a little slow sometimes when we try to unlock from the outside, but very easy to lock when leaving,

We have been using the August Smart Lock Pro for most of the year. I was very excited to get this device as I like the idea of having a keyless entry option that can also be controlled with smart devices. The setup is extremely easy, as the August Smart Lock Pro fits most every door type out there. it does look bulky on the interior of the door, but you get used to it. However, there are a few items that make this, in my view, not ready for prime time: 1. The unlocking feature does not always work. This is especially true if you have an Android phone and reset your device. I often find I have to go back into the app after reset to make it work. This shouldn't be the case. 2. Several times now the lock has incorrectly sensed my door was closed and initiated the locking mechanism. This is easily fixed by pulling a battery out and reinserting (i.e. restarting the lock), but again this should not happen. 3. The app, at least on Android, forces you to keep WiFi and Bluetooth on. This is not only incredibly annoying, but extremely poor security. If you just take a moment to research on the web, you'll find that most security experts do not recommend leaving these connections on if you are not using them. You can disable the WiFi turn on, but not Bluetooth. While I realize the lock uses both to help figure out if you are close to home, in theory GPS and NFC should be sufficient (if Google can track me to the step in Google maps, so can August with sufficient GPS permissions). I suspect I'll be looking for a new smart lock solution in the coming years as this just hasn't quite cut it. The sad thing is that when it works, it's really great and convenient. But when it doesn't, it's just a waste of time and the fact the app forces Bluetooth & WiFi to stay on is just a dealbreaker for me personally.

Great smart lock works well, a little bit bulky but wasn't a big deal to me. August recently made an update that made app connection to lock better and quicker.the lock connects with 5g but the bridge with 2.4g.

The lock works great and I especially love how you can set it to Auto Unlock when you return home and get within a few feet of your door. Only thing I don’t like is how big and bulky it is.

The August Lock is truly incredible. It offers peace of mind and convenience. Forget to lock your door and you're a bit away? No problem. Just open the app or set it to lock automatically. Driving up is great when the door automatically senses you are close by and unlocks for you. No more having to dig for keys with your hands full or fumbling looking for keys when it is dark. You can also give a temporary key to those you trust should you have pet that needs attention or a relative that arrived and you;'re not home. You can set the time of the key's usage to expire. Set up wasn't that difficult but make sure you're exact with your credentials. You can even lock/unlock your door with your home kit. Truly a great lock.

So far so good. Easy to operate and have had no issues so far. Allows you peace of mind to know who comes and goes. The price was right and Geek Squad did a great job of hooking it up.

The August smart lock was a very easy install, and syncs up to HomeKit seamlessly. I really like the auto-lock and unlock features. I don't even really need my house keys as long as I have my phone.

It took a little time to get it just right, but it works perfectly once it is set up. Just take the time to adjust the door to be just right and it works exactly how they say it is supposed to.

This little guy was installed by me. Make sure you follow the directional instructions! After installing, it did everything I needed it to, including tracking who comes and goes.

The installation is really easy. The application took a little bit more effort, but once it registered it worked well. Using the guest keys is really easy and a very nice convenience.

This has been a great lock so far. No issues with the lock and installation was simple. The one thing I do not like about it is that you have to have a connect to allow you to use the lock.

Bought because my kids are always losing their keys. Very convenient nice to not to be to fiddle with keys. Can let people on from wherever you are. Easy setup.

This doorbell helps me feel safe at home. I can see when the door is closed and locked on my phone. I am also able to let people in remotely if I am not home or they are working in the home.

The instructions were simple and precise, install took about 30 mins. This is a great smart home addition if you need to give people access, but want to retain control of how they go in or out.

Love the device. We had some issues connecting the bridge. Once we got that set up it's worked amazingly. Very happy with the product and would recommend it.

Very simple installation, including the wifi bridge (which I recommend so that you can utilize features like auto-unlock when you pull into your driveway, and manually unlock via phone app while away from home). I did have to adjust the striker plate so that the deadbolt could close without pushing or pulling on the door because of the door seals. You can still use the manual deadbolt key as it only replaces the inside knob. So, can still go old school. The app works great and the guest invitation feature is awesome, but I have heard that the actual account sign-up for a guest is a tad cumbersome. All in all, quite happy with the product.

This was so easy to install only took about 10 minutes, works like a champ, I love it. It is super easy to change the batteries, August you did a great job.

This has been the greatest help! No need for keys and just the convienence because everyone always has their phones. Just make sure you have a strong WiFi connection if you have the remote connect.
