Great for less than a year then it seizes up and can get locked out. This is my fourth replacement and it all happens at almost a year. I'm getting a different brand.

Does what it is supposed to, but returned the product as it was big and bulky. Also it did not integrate with our Ring alarm system and there are other locks out there that do.

Plastic used to turn door didn’t last 10 days before the door wouldn’t open. Nice design but poor parts used inside to do the job (high price).

WiFi signal lost over and over and over and over after about six months of having this product. Annoying messages spamming my phone. Not able to control.

The lock broke after a week said need to re calibrate / but it would not work and then the batteries are low after 1 week not for me .

Did not always lock the door. kept checking to see if the door was locked. There could be a problem with my door and not the lock. We won't know for sure as we returned it.

I purchased this item less than 2 years ago. It began to malfunction recently & only has a 1-year warranty.

It always jams unless you really pull the door. All the other functions are great which is why I gave 3 stars.

This worked for a while and then locked me out of my house and I had to call a locksmith to come let me in my condo

I purchased 2 of them. If you hardly ever opens a door then works great. Frequently opened a door, not useful at all. It shows on App that it's close but door bolt never really locks. Tried to call August, they don't have phone support anymore and online chat is for 6 hours. Trying to to figure out if I can return it.

This is a design flaw with the unit and should be addressed by August. You're connecting a metal rod to a plastic piece and the turning motion causes wear with every turn. August will send replacement pieces but I think the best option is to visit makerspace and have this adapter cut from metal. Only way it's going to last longer than a month.

I bought this for the auto unlock witch only works about 10% of the time.

Pain to unlock your door. Works half the time to unlock when walking up to the door

Might work might not , kind of like a kid might lock the might not depends on its mood most of the time it doesn't work . Waiting on a diffent lock to arrive then will be returning this Recommendation do not buy

This thing is SO bad it’s not even usable as a door wedge. I began a campaign against August on FB and never got a reply. That’s how bad they as a company are

Basically when trying to setup could not get it connected to WiFi then contacting customer support basically I was told it wouldn't work with Samsung mobile devices so to nest I ran and setup in n less that 1 minute.

I installed this just three weeks ago. I am unable to comment on battery length. I currently have had great success with this lock. The installation was very easy. There was one snag, the adapter they said would work with my brand lock did not. However the other adapter included in the package worked well. Installing the app and connecting the the connect adapter was very easy. Initially on the first day, the auto unlock worked only the first time and then did not work. I started over and set my location as well as set up the auto unlock. And things work well after. I have not encountered any problems as of yet. Keep in mind, you do need to have a back up key somewhere. Electronics are only good when they work. There can be power failures, failure of your modem or internet connection, or batteries go dead. All would lead to the lock not working.

This was my first attempt at lock automation. The lock was three feet from my router and it couldn't connect reliably. Horrible. I returned it and bout Kwikset Kevo,
