Bought this for a friend for Christmas. Being a Star Wars fan i thought this would be a great gift. BB-8 has been a great form of entertainment. With the use to the app you can give him commands to perform specific actions, or just let him explore his surroundings. I gave this on 4 stars since you are not able to say commands direct to BB-8 without using the app. Otherwise this is a great additional for any Star Wars fan

I can't really say much about the bb-8 robot. I got this one to sit on the shelf and remain in mint condition for ever. I sure it will be a true collectors item in a few years when all the others are broken.

great little guy that you can control with your smart phone either driving him around, view holographic messages or even let it drive around on its own. Great robot and hopefully a glimpse of things to come.

This was awesome to play with.... For 3 days. But its just a fancy version of a remote control car. My husband got bored of playing with it after 3 days. It can be controlled using your smart phone and it can wander on its own. But the video hologram and voice control is for apple users only. O have an android so I am waiting for Sphero to write a new program. It's a fun toy but not worth $150.

He's pretty cool. Though I haven't ever been able to record and capture video in that feature. Can't make it work but otherwise little guy is pretty fun.

This toy is just ok. Probably more suitable for smaller kids. The functionalities are pretty limited. As others have said, would be nice to have a camera on BB8, but unfortunately, it doesn't. Voice recognition is also with limited instructions and does not work on the toy itself, just your tablet.

I saw the movie and though I had to have one of these. Its a pretty impressive little toy. The kids love it but be careful around stairs. I've launched it down the basement stairs a few times. Neat toy.

Bought this for my nephew as a Christmas present. He's a big Star Wars fan. He's is happy with it. I'm not sure if it's worth the price but I hope he'll play with it for more than just the first months.

So nice I purchased this twice. My daughter and I play with BB-8 quite often. So much so that I believe our BB-8s look forward to its batteries running low just to get a break from we two humans. I will tip my hat to Sphero for this product and the other Star Wars products they have produced. I believe each one has developed its own personality. At least we think so. I do recommend buying BB-8 for any Star Wars fan (old and young).

I bought this as a gift for my son and cannot wait to give it to him. It is still in the box, but exactly what I was looking for and some really cool features. I could not risk another sell out of it.

Our 12 year old loves this thing, but I may even more! What it can do is unreal (for a guy born in the 70s). After a month he hasn't played with it nearly as much as I thought he would, so that's a bit of a knock, but the key reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. Thankfully we got a sweet deal but I'm not sure I'd spend over $80 on it knowing what I know now.

Great product. A lot of fun to work with. It does pick up a considerable amount of dust depending upon the surface it runs on, otherwise no problems.

Took a second to get use to the controls but is so much fun to watch running around.

Great toy for playing with the cat (like I used it for)! Works better on hard surfaces than carpet but will roll, albeit a slower pace. All in all, a fun toy and the app is well put together too.

Better than advertised...my daughter and I saw the movie opening night, she was lovingBB-8 from the first scene. This was a home run. As for the toy, it's awesome...app connected and lots to do.

My grand daughters had a great time getting to know and playing with their BB8 droids. They live many states away so i was not there in person to watch but my son told me it was a big Xmas hit.

This product was fun for a day. It has sat on a shelf for a year now. Wish I hadn't spent a 160 on it.

The tech on this bot is cool but BB constantly loses it's head, doesn't respond consistently to voice commands and the novelty wears off quickly.

This is the most awesome little robot!! So cute! Amazing!! Rolls around great on all surfaces. Very fun to play with! Highly recommended. Wish they had one the size of the one in the movie!

I bought this as a gift for my daughters birthday. She is in her 20's and really wanted a robot. Well, she absolutely loves it and has been having a great time with it, as have her friends.
