this is really cool toy. my son and i have enjoyed hours of playing with this little guy. keep him away from the dog though.

Super well built, intriguing even. Bluetooth controlling app is fully Star Wars'ed-out in the best possible way with lots of BB-8 noise talk, character images and the like. When roaming about on patrol mode, BB-8 will keep rolling for about 3 hours on its lithium batteries. Inside the unit, 3 bright LEDs of white, blue and red allow you to both manually control the robot (blue), chat with him (white) or be told when it's time for recharging (red). The charger takes a standard micro USB cable (cable included, supply your own adapter). The charger also doubles as a display stand so you can hang with BB-8 on a desk with out him rolling into a trap. The head actually "floats" on the rolling body, kinda like in the film and articulates all over the place as BB-8 wanders about.

We gifted this to my older son for Christmas and he loves it. His wish was a robot which moves around. And with an awesome deal from Bestbuy, we had to shell out less than $30! Works nicely on carpet and wooden floors and is quite interesting to watch it move. The adults like it too ;)

The BB8 droid is sooo cute and a lot of fun! I have been playing with it since the day we got it! Works great with my iPhone

Lived up to my expectation except the sound only comes from the device not the droid.

The droid was seen in the latest star wars film last year. My son found the item on line and since we are BestBuy members I purchased for him after he did well at school. He had acquired the bracelet controller and has mastered how to control it's movements successfully and having fun since. A great product !

This is basically an overpriced remote control ball. The head of BB-8 constantly falls off and is not even needed for the ball to function. It does not work very well if at all on carpet so You better have a large smooth surface. The hologram function is anything but. Basically the hologram uses the camera on your phone or iPad to see BB-8 and then a hologram appears on the phone or iPad. All sounds it makes are through your device. My son got bored with it after about 5 minutes. Definitely go to YouTube and watch the videos on it before buying it. I wish I had done that.

It is the cutest little toy! I call it a toy. The only problem I have with it is you can only access it through a phone.

It's recharable, small and app controlled! Does a couple of cool tricks and you can record hologram messages...Love it!

The whole family has really enjoyed it. Lots of fun!

What can I say? It's a real life droid that you control with your phone! More then that, it has a personality of its own!

This is an amazing piece of tech. So fun to play with. Ipad app works the best. Works best on short carpet. Cat loves it!

My son loves playing with this bb8. I wish it could do more but my son is very content with it and enjoys it very much.

This is an awesome toy for kids and adults! It is very fun, takes a bit to get to control the droid correctly, but not a big deal after practicing. My kids love it, the head of BB-8 spins and also moves around the sphere just as the movie. Buy it and you will not be disappointed.

I bought two of these for my cousins who LOVE Star Wars! It's like having the character come to life out of the movie!

I bought these for my boys for Christmas I wanted to get them last year but they where to expensive last year so I'm excited this year I was able to get them. I will be testing one ahead but have not but I would recommend I've done a lot of research and young and old enjoy these.

This is a fun toy for kids, adults, and pets. Remote control could be more intuitive and easier to control movements.

I like it a lot. I think after they do more software updates he will do a lot more. The hologram thing is pretty cool
