Overpriced, But Fun for Future Fans

The controls are simple to use and the droid has held up against everything it's run into. It does pick up debris under the head of the unit, but its easy to clean out. The droid loses a little of it's novelty after you go through all the funtionality, so I hope there are updates to the app. At the end of the day, its an expensive toy. However, as a fan of the films and seeing the enjoyment my child receives from playing with it, BB-8 is welcome to patrol the house.

Have to install the Sphero App to fully utilize him. His autonomous behavior is adorable! He maps out everything he runs into and learns the lay out of the area around him. He occasionally will "lose his head" if you have low positioned chair rungs. He's fun to play with, he's a joy to watch the movie with, and when just sitting there with you on your desk, he's just really cool to look at. Enjoy this little BB-8!
