You operate it by downloading the BB8 app and control using your phone or other android device or apple device. But make sure it is the bb8 app. Works great. Fun to watch do it's thing. Love it.

Unless your an avid star wars fan or collector, save your money. It was fun for the first hour or so but got kinda bored with it. Ended up returning.

We've had this for 5 months now and my nine year old still plays with it regularly. In addition to the Star Wars themed app, you can get the Sphero app and do custom programming of the robot. I would recommend.

This is an extremely cool toy, Acts and reacts in a way that will amaze kids. The novelty though wears out rather quickly, and for the price it is a tough thing to watch the kids not play with it after a weeks time.

my daughter saw BB8 in a store and really wanted it for christmas. of course we have seen all of the star wars movies together. This was only one of two items on her wish list to santa. She loves playing with it.

This toy is better than all the other BB8 remote control devices. the head stays attached even while going down the stairs! It is heavy duty and super cute. My kids love having BB8 following them around the house.

Got it on a sale price and boy does my kids love this thing. The only problem would be that you need a phone or tablet to use. But it is very fun and durable.

When these first came out for $200 they were overprice, even though they are good quality and fun. For $40 it's a no-brainer. Fun and my son's cats love to chase it.

A birthday present for my grandson, it was a hit from the start. When he gets home from school, it's the first thing he goes for to play with. It is well designed and durable, unlike many other radio controlled toys.

Bought 2 of these for my son and wife for Christmas and they are fun little toys, that they both love to play with. Got them at a great price for Black Friday and they don't disappoint.

This product is Great fun. It's a marvelous little droid. The locomotion alone is captivating. It's a must have for any Star Wars fan. Even if you are not a Star Wars fan, this droid will entertain and amuse.

My girls love the items could have not made a better purchase for them as a birthday gift. It keeps them busy and challenges them to do something new every time

This little robot is lots of fun. I bought it for an office toy and it makes a good conversation piece on my desk. Really cool features and drive control with the app is accurate.

Interesting item some cool features. And got it as a birthday gift and she loves it. If you love star wars I recommend you buy this item and there is also one with battle scars and a force wrist band.

So far I have purchased three BB-8's and all from Best Buy. The first one was for my granddaughter and these two are for my son (35) and me. I can always count on Best Buy (price). Thank You, Larry Torres.

Got this during a sale and finally picked it up. It was fun while it lasted. The novelty of this toy wears off quickly. Even my son stopped playing with it.

Open source is nice, many built in features. I have a 3 year old who drives it with my phone, puts it in patrol, creates messages. When he gets a bit older we can get into everything that makes this bot nice.

I got this for my brother in law who still loves to play. He really enjoyedit's star wars and this robot is full of fun features and cool trucks that keep him entertained.
