So I upgraded to the AC router and boy does it deliver. I now receive full signal reception strength in all my rooms. I no longer have to do all my Wi-Fi in the living room.

We have no record of any known incompatibility between the F9K1113 router and Lenovo laptops and we would love it if you could share to us the details of your network setup so we can look into this matter. Use WPA/WPA2-Personal as your security encryption. Try to delete the preferred networks from your laptop before connecting it to the network and be sure to enter the correct security settings.

I was told this shouldn't be a problem for this router but it seems it is.

Thank you for informing us about your experience with the F9K1113. You may adjust the router's wireless channel for you to get good signal in some areas of your house. Try the channels 11, 9, 6, and 1 for 2.4 GHz and 161 and 157 for 5 GHz. We also recommend relocating the router, place it somewhere elevated. Weak and unreliable signal

The signal is weaker in our home than our old router and the 5GHz band seems particularly unreliable.
