Explained that we were looking for a router that could handle multiple devices to include game systems. This router was the one recommended without spending over $300. Took it home & tried for 3-4 days to get it to work & do what we said we wanted it for. Only 2-3 devices could connect through the password. Took the password off & was still having issues with the devices connecting. Never was able to get any of the game systems to connect even when nothing else was on. Got tired of messing with it & returned it back to the store.

I must admit I know little about how it works, only that the minute I hooked it up I was back in business. The gal at Best Buy recommended it when I asked for a simple to install wireless router.

If Xbox is running alone works great. If iPods are running slows Xbox way down. Wish I would have gotten the next one up

Posted .Hi. Thank you for choosing Belkin and for providing us a product review. This router should be able to handle multiple devices at the same time. We recommend that you set a permanent channel on the router's wireless frequency. Access the router's advanced settings page by typing in 192.168.2.1 on the addressback of a browser. Click on Dashboard > Advances settings > WiFi. For the 2.4 GHz network, test channels 1, 3, 6, and 11. For the 5 GHz network, text 157 and 161. If it will still have the same challenges, email us your complete contact details, location, computer OS, name of the ISP, speed test result on wireless, and the link to this review at [email protected] so we may provide more possible solutions.
Works good for our small home

It's good to hear that router is working fine in your network. We can actually improve the router's wireless connection by changing the router's location and adjusting the wireless settings. Be sure to place the router in a central location, away from wireless interference and physical obstruction. Then adjust the router's wireless channels. For the 2.4 GHz band, use channel 6, 9, 11, or 1. For the 5 GHz, you can try all the available channel and choose the one with the best result.
If you're experiencing slow wired connection, check the length of the cable. The shorter the cable, the faster the connection. Also, make sure that the computer/game console's Ethernet adapter has the latest driver.

Thank you for your feedback. Experiencing slow speed on your wired connection seems odd since the Belkin AC1200 is a Gigabit router. The type of cable used can be one of the factors causing it.
What type of Ethernet cable are you using? For optimum wired performance, we recommend that you use a Cat 5e or a Cat 6 cable. With regard to the range of the network, we suggest that the router should be placed in the central part of the house. Also, set its wireless channel to either channel 6, or 11.
