Great affordable router

If you're experiencing slow speed for both wired and wireless devices, we need to check first the speed coming from the modem if it matches with the bandwidth subscription from your ISP. Poor Connectivity

Well come to find out that would be longer than I have hoped. The set up of this router was easy, and it did ok.... BUT the WIFI speed was not as solid as my other device.. And I woke up a couple of mornings to find out that all the WIFI has shut down.. The router telling me that the modem is offline when you can see it is not and the wired connections worked still??? WTH.. after a reboot of the modem and router all connected again.. UNTIL the next time 2 or 3 days later..... Time to return... I gave it weeks lost connections 5 to 7 times.. You get what you pay for!! I bought the NGNHX8 and that one is AWESOME!!! No Loss of WIFI and WIFI Speed of 100+ on devices that can get that high... I am on a 150/30 connection so this was good for me. Hope this helps...

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Getting a weak wireless speed can be caused by distance, wireless interferences, and physical obstructions. We suggest that you set a fixed channel for your wireless networks. . You may have it on channel 1,6, or 11 for the 2.4 GHz network and channel 36, 40, 44 and 48 for the 5 GHz network. Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to upgrade my 7 year old router and BB had this on sale, thought I was a good buy. First it's a very basic router with one light telling you it's working. No manual, cd or web link to help with the router, so it's guess work to figure what the different colors mean, how to set it up, or troubleshooting. I did have some issues setting it up, and it needed reset once because it locked up during setup. I have 2 computers, and 2 tv's, 3 cell phones connected at various times, it worked well when it's connected but for some reason keeps disconnecting occasionally for no reason. Went back to my old router ( because it works ) and will keep this as a backup if needed.

There are several reasons why the connection drops or is intermittent. Outdated firmware or interference other wireless devices are some of these. Tweaking the wireless channels of the router and making sure the router is running with the latest firmware can help optimize the device’s performance.
