This one is very glitchy and only 4-5 devices on it. Gave the old one to my kid for college or would switch back. Old one working great for him and his roommates. Lesson learned!

I️m not sure if it was a faulty unit or it this router model was just not good. This Belkin router turns off constantly and i must either remove & reattach the cable or I must press the reset button. If this is typical of this router, then it is annoying and time consuming.

The best of all, it only took five mins to set up. I have my guests one a separate network so that the speed isn't affected. You can also block certain devices from going on any website so that your kids can't access them.

However, I'd stay away from this wireless router. Continuously disconnected from the internet or the wireless signal would also disconnect. It was very spotty.

To boost the range of your router, we can assign fixed channels for both frequency bands to what will work best with your existing network setup. Try channels 1, 6, 9 and 11 for the 2.4 GHz network, and channels 36, 40, 44, and 48 for the 5 GHz. Also the Ethernet cord that comes with it is way too short to be able to set it up the router were you would like. If you’re router is older than 5 years I would recommend you upgrade, if not keep what you have.

I have an ethernet connection from my home router to my detached garage, but need wifi for my "Ring" floodlight. I also need a guest network for the in-law apartment above. After configuring this router to an AP I was unable to locate the "Guest" network setup that was available before. The signal was so weak 25 to 30 feet away through only one wall that I decided t return it. I didn't waste the time to try to resolve the Guest network issue. It might be OK if you only need a router for a very small area, but it didn't meet my needs at all.

I finally got my device/computer to connect to the wi-fi but couldn't access the internet. This was recommended to me by the best buy associate. When I went to return it, the the doing the return said never to buy belkin anything.
