    12/30/2016 -- Purchased from Best Buy, Clearwater, Florida in July 2016. Horrible WiFi coverage in my two-story 1,400 SFt townhouse. In October 2016, Belkin issued a firmware update for this model, but this router DOES NOT install the new update automatically. It keeps telling you that its firmware from 2014 is current and up-to-date. You must download and install the firmware manually yourself. The user interface on this router (using 192.168.2.1) is horrible. You must get guidance from Belkin's Tech Rep in order to get this router working. What a waste of time. Oh, and DO NOT use "Intellistream" feature on this router. It will mess up your signal and strength -- leave that INACTIVE.

    I regret buying this. Hours of talking to belkin on the phone and emailing them. They cannot get every device in our house to work with this. They get some devices working then the others don't work. We go around and around changing settings. All of our devices do work with it but not all at the same time.

    Easy installation they say, just plug it in and go...BS! It worked, until my computer hibernated. Then, when I come back and move the mouse to bring it back online....no connection. After going thru several steps it was determined that the modem needed to be rebooted. After having to do this numerous times, I contacted Belkin support. Talked to several people on several occasions to no avail. Each time the computer hibernates, the router fails to talk to the modem. Taking this unit back AND WILL NOT be buying another Belkin piece of $h*t.

    Every morning I would wake and wonder if this router was still connecting my home to the internet. Often the answer was "no". So I threw it out. Finis.

    Bought it to replace an old Linksys, but the old one is more reliable then this one. It doesn't reach the distance my other did. It doesn't allow the connections to stay connected and that's if it even shows up at all. If I am able to take it back, I will. I would NOT recommend this at all! Don't buy it because it states it'll do the job, because if you're constantly using the internet or have a gamer in the home, this one will NOT do what it states!!!!!

    Looses internet connection everyday, Terrible!

    NO MORE BELKIN ROUTERS. I bought this router last year, connection was good for a while, now everyday the router has TO be reset because of loss of internet connection. Called Belkin to troubleshoot, they said it's the cable company's problem. I had someone from India, sorry but that made for TERRIBLE service. I couldn't understand her english at all. Called my cable company, they said it's a router problem. Great, stuck with an very expensive router that keeps timing out.

    Keeps getting diconnected

    The first time I bought a Belkin product it disappointing me. It keeps getting disconnected after every 5 minutes. Not only that, it doesn't even have any application that allows you to control your wifi. Although there is the Belkin dashboard, it barely allows you to customize parental control. So i just returned it and got a Netgear router that actually WORKS!!

    wouldn't connect play station 4 got no where with support in India after 35 minutes. Poor brand, poor support. Exchanged for Netgear brand.

    Solid Router, Worthless Features

    So today I purchased a Belkin router. AT&T provided me with a new modem last week and the WiFi signal was extremely weak. I loved the fact that it was dual-band router and had 2 USB ports (1 3.0 and 1 2.0) on the back. The reason I opted for this router over an access point is because I wanted to be able to plug in an old hard drive I have laying around and use it for network storage. Apparently Belkin doesn't care about their software and has not updated the drivers to work with any OS X past 10.7 (Or past Windows 8). Which is unreal. So basically the USB ports on the back of the router are completely worthless. This was confirmed by Belkin Customer Support who said "our software team is working on it and you may see a driver update in the future". Well its been over half a year since OS X 10.11 came out. I am astounded. There is a 30-day return policy that I will be absolutely taking advantage of..

    Bought this router to replace a Belkin N600DB that died after about a year and 1/2. Because that router had questionable range for my "streaming" needs in another room, I wanted a router that would give me better range. This new router was about $30 more than my old one, but I expected that the extra cost would give me the performance I needed. It was easy to install but the range was terrible. I live in a larger home but it only gave me about 35 feet of range through one wall at the most. My Roku box would not even pick up the signal and my laptop would only show "one bar" of reception at 35 feet. I spent 45 minutes chatting with Belkin Tech Support. We tried changing channels and resetting the router but to no avail. I returned the router and bought a Netgear R7000 which cost twice as much, but has great reception throughout my house. So far it is apparent that you get what you pay for.

    I bought this router because we needed a new one and was told this would be perfect for the number and types of devices we have (5 game systems, 2 tablets, and a desktop). Well fast forward a few months and I upgrade to Suddenlink 20mbs speed and the router from that point forward begins to mess up. It constantly disconnects from the modem and its speed gets no higher than 50mbs when it claims to be able to handle up to 300mbs. In talking with customer service I can barely understand them, they talked in circles, hung up on me several times and made me go through hoops for a replacement. Needless to say I will be trashing this router and getting a better one.

    Not all devices connecting; short range

    I chose the Belkin AC router to replace an older Belkin N router. I connected the router and it did it's firmware upgrade. Everything seemed good, until I realized that many of our home devices don't connect. A smart TV, one of our laptops, and a tablet won't connect. They don't recognize the 5GHz band and cant connect to the 2.4GHz band. The range is bad too. The old Belkin router reached across the house, while this one barely manages to reach with 1 bar. If I keep this router, I will have to buy an extender. This makes me consider returning the Belkin and buying the another brand AC1200 with external antenna for a little bit more.
