    Power Cycles Everyday

    Router works great but Power Cycles everyday at 7pm. Firmware is updated,Self-Healing is off. Nothing showing in the Log on why it restarts everyday. If you like to game, do not buy this. Unexpected power cycles

      It is unusual for the router to automatically reboot if the Self-Healing feature is disabled. Try plugging it into another outlet or use another power adapter.     This router looks great on paper. I got it to replace an old router that was fried by lightning at the suggestion of an employee. It was easy to set up and get everything connected and has some really nice features. But any time any device in the house starts using up any kind of bandwidth, it falls flat on its face and everything else starts disconnecting. I have tried using Intellistream and turning it back off, but nothing makes a difference. I have 60 megs down coming into the router but it seems incapable of directing any kind of traffic.

    Do not buy!

    I've had this 23 months, in the past 2 weeks it has failed 5 times. I called Belkin customer service which is out sourced to a foreign country. Each time I was told to call back if it happened again and they would send me a replacement. The last time I asked for a supervisor who told me the same thing. If it fails again call back. Each call is very time consuming. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Obviously the device is going out. This will be my last belkin device.

    Belkin Dual band Router Disappointment

    I went through 2 of these routers(Best Buy was GREAT about the returns). First one quit in two days, second on 10 days. Don't waste your time and all the frustration you go through trying to figure out whats going on. The router was easy to set up and get working, but the internet speed would drop in half all of a sudden, then completely fail.

      Hi Matureguy. We appreciate your time in reviewing our product. Does it drop both wired and wireless? If yes, check the connection directly to your modem if it's stable. If not, you need to contact your ISP. If it is, try changing the wireless channel on your router to 1,6 or 11 since these are non overlapping channels.     Terrible router

    Bought this router to upgrade my old Linksys E2500. Guy at BestBuy said it was the "Best router for the money" at the time. So I looked at some reviews and they were mostly positive, but also wrong. This thing would drop connection to the internet 5 times a day, or freeze requiring me to manually unplug it and plug it back in. I've gone back to using my old Linksys, its far more reliable.

    Big disappointment of a router

    I've been using computers and routers for more then 20 years. This router, by far, has been the worst; limited instructions, no phone # for support and simply not "user-friendly". Had no problem hooking up my old routeer but could not get this one to work. I returned it and will probably use the tried and true Apple Air Port due to their superior customer service and ease of set-up.

    Wouldn't recommend

    Followed directions exactly and could not get it to work. Called the help desk (800 number). One hour and 45 minutes later doing the same thing over and over, then getting referred to a supervisor to do the same procedures multiple times - never did work. Wasted over 3 hours of my time plus the frustration of trying to work with people I could barely understand. Horrible experience.

    Bricked after 2 months

    My router bricked after 2 months. Tried to call Belkin. They hang up when you press request for support. Tried to contact them through internet and their support is unreachable. Just noticed that they only offer support up to 3 months which is ridiculously low. Not sure what to do. I would imagine the warranty hasn't expired in 2 months but can't return product or get fixed if they won't respond.

      Our appreciation for bringing this to our attention. Select Belkin routers recently had an outage due to a glitch occured in our data center. We also experienced a spike in the call volumes which resulted to an error in the telephony. Fix was already confirmed and your Belkin router should now be able to get online.     I'm done

    From the beginning (Dec '15) I've had to reset this daily to keep the wifi signal. I've updated Firmware, reset a100 times &, moved it's location in my 1700 sg ft townhome, all to no avail. Should of read these reviews & exchanged it while I could. Don't think I'll ever try Belkin again.

      Updating the firmware and resetting the router usually helps to straighten up some issues. Since the wireless connection is still dropping, it would help if you'll change the wireless channel as the signal could have been affected by some interferences.     Decent speed when close to router

    When in the same room as the router the speed is fine, but once I start moving away from it the speed is terrible. My PC is set up a few rooms away from it and it is worse than dial-up. I wish I could return this, but I am past the return period. I do not recommend this router.

    Not so great Router

    I got this to replace my old N router and it turns out to be a piece of junk it runs at 1/2 the speed of the old N router. I will be returning it.
