Full 5 bars, no dropped connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am thrilled with the performance of this adapter after being incredibly disappointed with the Linksys AE2500. I have a full five bars, installation was easy and I haven't dropped a connection, yet (while the Linksys that I had to return would have already dropped the connection 5 times). Very happy with the value and the performance!

Exceeded my expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 1500 sq ft house (3bed, 2 bath) Our AT&T router is located by our TV in the living room. My desktop is in the far back corner of my house and would often get a weak connection signal. I was skeptical if this would help my connection speed on my desktop, but I was blown away. Installation took less than 10 minutes. Install cd then pop connector into a usb port and that's it. My connection strength and speed nearly doubled. I would totally recommend this product to a friend.

Great Wireless Adapter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife's Acer Aspire M-581T, only 4 months old, has battery issues (will only actively charge when the machine is turned off!! Still not resolved, tons of people have had problems with it) and slowness (1.8 or less MBPs, supposed to have 60 MBPs with ISP) when trying to connect to a remote machine at work. I thought that the problem was her remote network but discovered it was the Atheros AR5BWB222 built-in wireless card. Turns out tons of people have had problems with this card as well. Tried different drivers, adjusted settings, nothing worked. The recommended solution is to send it back for service, they replace it, it doesn't work, you complain again, hopefully they replace it with another brand. Days/weeks of BS. So I went into the store and got this N600 adapter for $28.99. They had others for $50-60, but I figured I'd try this one. It works great! Shows 59 MBPs on speedtest.net, and webpages pop open immediately now, no lag like before. The only small issue, very small, is that after you install the drivers with the disk, you reboot, and then there is no notification/pop-up/wizard that takes you to the network connection screen. Its a very small annoyance, and easy to setup, but a better way would be a notifier or link directly to the screen you need. Get this product if you have no built-in or problems with existing wireless card, great value, great performance!!

Great for Gaming!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this on sale as a cheaper alternative to buying a wireless card to install in a new gaming tower I bought for my daughter. I figured we'd give it a try since her new computer was arriving and it didn't have a built-in wireless card. At first, I thought we might have a compatability issue, but realized I had to directly connect her to the cable modem to go into Belkin and download the required driver for Windows 8. Once I did that, the Belkin worked immediately. My daughter's PC is located 25 feet or more from the closest Cisco router, through several walls, doors and a floor. She has absolutely NO PROBLEMS playing GW2, WoW, BF3, FC3, Steam Games, streaming anime and videos, etc., and has not had any slow response time with the Belkin! She loves it, and I love the fact I don't have to buy and install a wireless card in her machine! Additionally, my mother had an issue with her wireless card going bad in her 3-yr old Toshiba Satellite, and I had her pick up one of these instead out in AZ. She is reconnected to the internet quickly, cheaply, and also loves the Belkin (they have a NetGear router). I have always heard good things about Belkin, and thus far, I can see why. If you register online, your wireless adapter is covered under their warranty for two years! In my opinion, they provide exactly what they claim to provide and stand behind their products!

plug and play wireless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.USB wireless adapter simply plugs in, self-installs and you're connected in a mere minute or two. The price is a bit more than I wanted, but there are other slower options for less, so you really end up getting what you paid for. Also, it is a bit bulky for a USB device...a bit larger than a storage device, but not so big it is a problem.

Great performance, easy set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card was easy to set up in 5ghz mode with my dlink 825 dual band router. It connects faster and performs better, by the routers on board display. While the price is up there, I think its worth it for something that works? The bad? Bloatware. OMG.. no prompts, no questions, Adobe and McAfee just show up. Belkin, this is extremely annoying for a product I paid $60 for. Close to enough to make me go back to dlink next time.

Good connnection, good speed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up and easy to use. Only issue I've seen is that if it's connected for extended periods of time it sometimes needs unplugged and reconnected (This was with computer online for 24 hours straight.)

Was better than my on board wireless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great buy, it picks up signals better than my onboard wireless card did in my laptop. Only drawback is the size of it, plugged in to the USB if you have another USB under it you wont be able to use that port also. In my eyes only draw back.

much better than my old wireless card
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Last week my cable provider set me up with a brand new dual-band gateway (modem/router combo thingy), and I was supposed to get up to 75mbps. However, my laptop was only getting about 10, which was frustrating. My phone was able to get up to 65-70, meaning the problem was not the gateway, but the wireless card in the laptop. The laptop is about 2 years old, which in tech terms is ancient, and the wireless card was only 2.4ghz and couldn't even see the 5ghz network. There also seemed to be some other sort of incompatibility there, as even the 2.4ghz network should have been faster than 10mbps. I installed this adapter, and although I could immediately see and connect to the 5ghz network, there was a little glitch, and it looked like I was connected on both bands, and my connection speed was still super slow. I disabled the original wireless card and reconnected, et voila, 5ghz 75mbps connection! I only wish I had done this sooner.

When it works, it is great.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed the adapter on a new PC running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. No issues with installation, but occasionally it drops offline (this seems to happen when I am receiving a call on Skype. Unplugging the adapter and plugging it back in restores the connection. I checked the Belkin website and downloaded and installed the latest driver software, but it still drops offline erratically.

I usually do not make comments unless absolutely necessary. This "Belkin Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Adapter" I purchased today (9/05/2015) very much exceeds my expectation. Trying is believing!!!
