I bought this for my desk top which runs updated Linux. It will not work. If you need wireless with Linux, I had great success, 5 stars, for Rosewill - at a much lower price! No disc or drivers required. It worked like a plug 'n play. The Belkin might be great in Windows OS but that's all it can do.

I had no problems installing this hardware. It was easy to install, up in less than 3 minutes. I have connected it to a wireless system that uses a NetGear router, and I've had absolutely no problems, works fine and stays on line and connected. No issues or problems like those experienced in the first review. I'm located about 50 feet away from the router, in another part of my house and my system is showing that I have 84% connectivity, which is great.

I've had this Wireless USB adapter for about 2 months now, first month I think it lost connection once, the last 2 weeks probably 4-5 times requiring a reboot for it to regain connection. I've always had great Belkin products, hoping its just going through a phase but if it keeps losing signal I may need to look elsewhere. Still recommend it though.

I bought this because my 6 year old working HP laptops wifi connetion went out and could not be repaired.My technician said save the time and money,just buy a Belkin micro for the laptop.Best Buy did not have the N range in micro but they had this one on sale.With my Best Buy bonus I paid less than $25. Once I got it loaded..took some manuevering because I dont have a cd drive either. Once I plugged it..away it went.The speed of connection is amazing!!! I have not had my wifi drop at all.

This was a great way to make a ten yr old computer useful to the family again. The wireless adapter was easy to install and now the kitchen is a place for Internet access. Recipes and music. Wonderful!

Strong and stable for internet wireless device. Better to keep one for the wireless internet.

The on board Wifi on my new Gateway was poor. This doubled speed immediately. I had bought a Belkin dual band router; so I chose a Belkin product to ensure ease of interoperability. Worked like a charm.

Good product - pretty fast and does what it should. Nice way to utilize a USB port to enable your PC to connect to wireless, if you cannot connect to a hardline.

Bought this adapter to replae another brand. With the other brand I was using I kept getting dropped signals and I'm only about 12 feet from the wireless router. With this Belkin, the signal has always been at 100% and not one dropped signal. Not even a low signal strength. This is the one to buy.

Bought for use in family room PC for TV. Wireless modem in another building about 40 feet away, works great. Good connection and streams video without re-buffering.

Plugged right in and worked great. I had an older model Lynksis and needed to upgrade. It has not dropped signal once. My router is located in basement (Verizon router) and computer is on 3rd level. Worth the money!

I always had problems streaming video--my router is at the opposite end of the house from my computer setup. This little gadget has great connection and actually fixed my frustrating lag problem.

Made my desk top computer wireless so i could hook up to my wireless Sprint MiFi 3G/4G hot spot internet service.

Quick install. Not applicable for old operating systems so be sure to check!

On the back of the box it says this adapter is great for gaming. Not so much. Only game i play right now is GW2 and everytime i try to play it with this adapter It takes down my network completely. Other then that it connects to the net great. Good speeds. Just not the best for gaming.

Pros fast setup and connectivity Con like the user before said worked like a charm for a day after that it would disconnect and not reconnect only by unpluging it was i able to reconnect also range is not that great while intially connect 4bars after a minute orso dropped to 2 i just took it back and got a netgear adapter

This is a good product for someone who OCCASIONALLY uses the internet and does not have a wireless capable computer. This ABSOLUTELY NOT reliable enough for those who use the internet an extended amount of time each day. The unit will connect and work for a bit, then freeze and disconnect from you WiFi (even though your connection is still strong) If you are looking for a reliable product for everyday use, keep searching
