Have 2...2 dead adapters

I have 2 of these. Both have not worked properly from the start. The drivers must be bad for these adapters because I was constantly getting drop-outs, as in the adapter would just cut the connection requiring me to unplug/re-plug it in. About 90% of the time when I would turn on my computers from sleep or off, the adapter would not work (no connection) again requiring it to be removed and re-inserted in order to get a connection.
I would say that if you do anything other than web-browsing, avoid this adapter because the adapter cuts the connection after a few minutes of sustained high-speed, high-data usage (such as streaming HD content).
And lastly, I have 2 dead adapters, they lasted maybe a little over a year then just stopped working. No lights, no connection...nothing. I should mention that in these instances of dropped connections, all other wireless devices in my house have maintained a full and fast signal except for the Belkin devices.
tl;dr unreliable, bad connection, bad drivers, just BAD.

Extending Range of Wi-Fi

ATT suggested I try this to boost the speed of my WIFI, as the router was in an upstairs room. The other option was to add a second land line directly to my office @ a cost of $90. I don't know if this is intended to do so, versus extending the range of the WIFI, but I tried it. It did not work, so I returned it. ATT ended up not charging me for the 2nd land line after a lengthy discussion with their customer service. Now I'm getting the speed that I am paying for.

Brand response from BelkinStaff

Hi Abone,
We appreciate you sharing your feedback with the Belkin F9L1101. We understand that you want to boost your wireless signal. However, the device you have is just a wireless adapter. It only connects to a wireless network. If you're having some trouble with the range of your wireless connection, you may opt into getting a range extender. Not Reliable, Terminates connections

Just awful. Installs easy, easy to use, but will not hold a connection even on an "excellent" connection and signal strength. Using it on Windows XP Sony desktop machine. Machine runs great, no issues with it or operating system. Wireless card connects fast and easy on boot up but after that, it is any ones guess how long it will keep the connection. Seems to just terminate the connection, will net re-acquire (unless you reboot) even if you attempt manually reconnecting. Seems to hold the connection as long as there is data flowing, but stop to read a web site or take a break for a few minutes and it will just terminate the connection. Next thing you know you are disconnected. Not happy with this unit and it will be up to tech support to see if a resolution is possible ,but I would not need tech support if the product performed properly. Have tried removing and re-installing the set-up but that made no difference.

Will not stay connected to the Internet

I have to reset it or unplug it several times a day. My desktop and ipad stay connected, but the computer this is plugged in to can't stay online IN THE SAME ROOM. I'm literally 25 feet from the router and it still drops the internet every 10 to 20 minutes.

The product worked intermittently at first then stopped working altogether. Tech Support finally advised me to return the product and get a replacement. I purchased a Netgear N600 to replace it. So far, the N600 is working well. Best Buy was out of any other product so I went to another store to purchase my replacement.

Unreliable product

Bought the Belkin N600 DB USB Adapter on Sunday and took it back on Tuesday. The adapter worked on 3 separate occasions for me. Afterwards, I could not get it to connect to the internet again.
My two biggest problems were the range and unreliability.

Like others have said, for some reason it will disconnect and you will have to get up and unplug and replug to get it to reconnect. Makes it useless. Three days of this and it is going back tomorrow.
