Great for my Projector.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to hook up my WD Live media streamer to my Dell projector, which my projector has a VGA port, to show my slideshow video presentations. The picture quality was excellent. Better than hooking up my laptop using just only VGA cable. There is a 3.5 audio port on the adaptor to connect speakers. The sound was not good. But, I was able to use a cord from the adapter to the projector audio in slot and connect my speakers to the projector audio out and the sound quality was a whole lot better. With this nice little adapter, I don't have to bring my laptop to present my videos.

If you try to use this with a MacBook Pro Late 2016 with touch bar and USB-C ports only) it will not work.

I was hoping that I could still use my 2 year old monitor as a 2nd monitor with the new laptop. It will do some things, but it does not function as a 2nd monitor. It is one way or the other. There may be a way to do it, but I gave up after 30 minutes. Very limited instructions with the product, and it did not say what its' capabilities were. It may be that I just can't figure it out, but it should be plug and play.

If you are trying to extend your monitor, you will need to make sure that your computers display settings is set to "extended" not "mirrored". Not compatible with Apple Mac Mini 2014

However after purchasing this item and taking it to my school and hooking it up it did not work at all like it was supposed to this was the second one I had to buy due to the first one being a well you understand I won't buy this item ever again and will find out another way of connecting it.
