Not sure of quality due to problem

Every once in a while my screen flickers or the monitor goes black. When I unplug and replug the screen is fine. Whether it is my computer or the device is unclear.

Worked as Expected

She thought that her 10+ year old 21" VGA Gateway monitor would be fine with the new HP. So we purchased this adapter to go between the new HP Envy and the VGA monitor. After using the new HP Envy with the old Gateway monitor, she decided to replace the Gateway monitor with a new 4K 28" Viewsonic monitor that has an HDMI port. We returned the adapter after purchasing the new Viewsonic monitor. Moral: When upgrading old computers, update the monitor too.

Exactly what I needed

The laptop didn't have a VGA output so this was the best solution without tieing up a USB port. The only detractor I have for it was the original cost of 49.99 but thankfully with Best Buys price matching, I got it for under $25.00, which is a great price for it.
