Had to buy this for my computer to be able to use usb

While looking at the Apple network adapter, the salesperson pointed this item out to me and since I am new the Mac world, I decided to take a chance and try it. I have used Belkin products in the past and have been very satisfied with them -- this purchase included. In short, plug it in and you're ready to go.

For use in office. Works well. I can also directly use in home with wifi router

Worked great right out of the box. No problems great speeds.

We had no issues with plugging this into the windows laptop and switching off from wifi to wired connection. The computer recognized it without any effort on our part and now we have that option upstairs for a better bandwidth or just swap back to wifi.

If you’re on the latest update 10.13.6 on Mac OSX then I would recommend this product because I tried other ones where it didn’t work and I couldn’t get connected to the ethernet directly it will plug-in to the type C and then you just plug in the ethernet cable and you’re good to go

From what I can tell, compatible OSes see this as just an Ethernet port. This is great. I was able to solve a very specific problem because macOS was able to use this out of the box to share my WiFi connection with a wired device.

I needed a new usb cable and this one was perfect.

Hey when your company gives you a laptop without an Ethernet port this is what you use when you drop your laptop and bend the connection. It works exactly as advertised with no issues after 2 years

Just make sure to be on a large enough surface to rest the adapter or else you put too much stress on the USB-C port, but other than that great product and had no connectivity issues must have with MacBook Pro.

It has been a long time since I was attached to a hard line. Just bumped my bandwidth to 250. Holy moly, all movie and videos are now done on the hard line. This adapter takes the thinking out of how to make it work.

Bought the adapter as an "insurance policy" should I incur wireless router problems. As luck would have it, the router failed at a critical time and the adapter avoided serious downtime until the problem got resolved.

If you have a newer laptop, then it likely doesn’t come with a built-in network port (Cat5). If you have a USB 3.0 port, this is a simple solution to have a wired connection instead of wireless.
