    Great Network Adapter for the price

    This is a good network adapter, perfect for the newer style USB ports. I recommend this if you have a new laptop or other device and do not want to tie up any of your standard USB ports. Easy to use other than needing a network cable, this device does not require any extra software or additional hardware.

    Works, but you have to set it up

    Got this to connect my 2017 MacBook Pro to LAN ethernet connection. There are no instructions included and the instructions online basically say to plug it in. What I had to do first was go to System Preferences -> Network, then at the bottom of the list of connections on the left click the '+' to add a connection, then select "Belkin USB-C LAN" from the Interface drop-down menu. Once I figured that out it works great.

    Direct Ethernet connection for MacBook Pro

    Purchased this to use Ethernet on new MacBook Pro with touchbar. Works as expected. Although, I don’t see why Apple did not include an Ethernet port in the machine in the first instance. Agreed that this is sacrifice they made for minimalistic design, but it means without an adapter such as this, you can’t connect your expensive MacBook Pro in places where the only option is wired Ethernet.

    Solid Hardwire Ethernet Connection

    Provided a USB-C to Ethernet connection for my laptop. Works wells. Sometimes gets a little warm, but otherwise does what it is supposed for a decent price. It is Ethernet only. No other card reader, usb, or kind of ports. This is Ethernet only, which is all I needed.

  • Will this work on a cell phone? I'd like to use this at places where wifi isn't available.

    Android and iOS both support ethernet connections, so as long as your device has a USB-C port this adapter should work. That said, I have only used it with my MacBook Pro.

  • How does this actually work. I have a newer model computer. But don't you still have to have a Ethernet cable to connect to the adapter and wall or you just connect the adapter to the computer and it should work

    Yes, you still need an ethernet cable to connect this adapter to the outlet in the wall. This adapter requires a usb-c port on your computer (Mac). Make sure you have a usb-c port. There are different ethernet adapters for USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and Thunderbold.
