I have used Belkin products in the past and have been very satisfied with them -- this purchase included. In short, plug it in and you're ready to go.

The computer recognized it without any effort on our part and now we have that option upstairs for a better bandwidth or just swap back to wifi.

It works on High Sierra for Ethernet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you’re on the latest update 10.13.6 on Mac OSX then I would recommend this product because I tried other ones where it didn’t work and I couldn’t get connected to the ethernet directly it will plug-in to the type C and then you just plug in the ethernet cable and you’re good to go

Turns a USB-C port into Ethernet

This is great. I was able to solve a very specific problem because macOS was able to use this out of the box to share my WiFi connection with a wired device.

It works exactly as advertised with no issues after 2 years

Blazing speed

Holy moly, all movie and videos are now done on the hard line. This adapter takes the thinking out of how to make it work.

A Handy Router Back-Up

As luck would have it, the router failed at a critical time and the adapter avoided serious downtime until the problem got resolved.

Perfect for newer laptops without a Cat5 port

If you have a USB 3.0 port, this is a simple solution to have a wired connection instead of wireless.
