Upon speaking with our cable provider, she suggested that we use another port of the same modem and use an ethernet cable to the other computer. I will be having the cable company put it through the walls/ceiling eventually, so it doesn't show the cable, but for now I am using the cable through the hallway to the nearby room! Seems to work well.
