I guess the ends have sort of a taper on them as to not stress the connector, but that’s about it. It does it’s job. Depending on the length and how much your time is worth, it may end up being slightly cheaper to buy a pre-made cable like this one.

Didn't realize the new computer didn't have Wifi built into it and the cable was the better option.

And when I asked in the store where this was the guy looked it up and told me they only had the expensive ones in the store. I left...ordered it online and they told me to come right back. They did sell them in the store. Yes..i was irritated.
