But I was very much replacing most of my ethernet cable around the house and I wanted this particular one to be blue. It is very much a shade of purple. So just be aware if you happen to be shopping for particular colors, this is a shade that is more purple, not blue.

But then again it could have just been the port as well. Make a decision if this is exactly what you need. Most of the insignia cables do justice. But this one didn't for me.
