    I bought this along with a Nintendo Switch, thinking an extra HDMI cable was needed to connect the Switch to my laptop. Turns out I didn't need this cable, but I still tested it with both the Switch and an Elgato capture card and it worked just fine. So I at least have a reliable backup cable when needed.

    Don’t be confused. The are HDMI 2.0 cables (18 Gbps). They are fine for most uses unless you are running 4K @ 120hz or 8K at 60mz. Then you need HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps).
